Slow doesn't mean you're falling behind.
I feel like we forget that because the world we live in is so obsessed with speed,
Fast results,
Fast growth and fast success.
And something I've been thinking about a lot is this.
Our whole world is built on duality.
Day and night,
Light and dark,
Inhale exhale and also masculine and feminine energy.
And what I've noticed,
Especially in the way society works,
Is that we're extremely trained in the masculine.
School,
Work,
Careers,
Companies.
It's always be the best,
Work harder,
Be productive,
Get up early,
Push through,
Don't rest.
And listen,
Masculine energy isn't bad.
We need it.
We need action.
We need structure.
We need the ability to move forward,
To be consistent,
To do the uncomfortable things sometimes.
But the problem is,
We're out of balance.
Because the feminine way of being has been stripped away for so many people.
The feminine is receiving.
It's alignment.
It's intuition.
It's flow.
It's letting life meet you.
It is allowing.
And I saw this so clearly with my body.
For example,
I used to think workouts only count if they were intense.
Heavy weights,
Six times a week,
Sweating like crazy,
Out of breath.
And honestly,
It wasn't even worth it.
What actually started transforming my body was doing it in a more feminine way.
Lower intensity,
More conscious movement.
Breathing.
Consistency,
Without violence.
And then I started applying that to other areas of my life too.
In my home,
In my friendships,
In my relationship.
Even in how my business partner and I lead our business.
We've really been learning how to balance the feminine and masculine.
So slow is not falling behind.
Slow often means you're coming back into balance.
And here's something you can try today.
Before you start something,
Before you go into your day,
Or into a task,
Or into a project,
Pause for a second and ask yourself,
Do I want to do this in a masculine way right now?
Action,
Structure,
Discipline?
Or is there a feminine approach that would serve me better?
Flow,
Softness,
Intuition,
Receiving?
Not everything needs force.
And not everything needs speed.
Sometimes slowing down is the fastest way back to yourself.
