Close your eyes now and start to get yourself into a comfortable position.

Can you get as comfortable as you possibly can?

Maybe grabbing a pillow or a blanket,

Maybe a stuffed animal too.

Let your whole body rest and sink into the surface that you are on.

Your body feels heavy like rocks.

Letting your whole body get relaxed and sleepy as we go on a special adventure through the sleepy forest.

Let's imagine now that there is a bright green mist that starts at the top of your head and as it slowly drifts across your body,

It relaxes each part softly and gently.

Green mist starts at the top of your head and as it moves across your face you relax all of the muscles,

Relaxing your eyebrows,

Your cheeks,

Your jaw,

Even your chin.

Green mist spreads down your neck,

Across both of your shoulders,

Dropping them gently.

This green mist drifts across both of your arms and spreads all the way down to the tips of your fingers,

Allowing both of your arms and your hands to feel heavy.

It moves across your chest,

Across your belly,

Down your right leg,

Past your right kneecap,

Past your right ankle,

And all the way down across the top of your right foot,

Down to your toes.

It moves down your left leg,

Past your kneecap,

Past your left ankle,

And the top of your left foot,

Down to your toes.

Inhale through your nose like you are smelling a flower and exhale like you are blowing a candle.

Your whole body is covered in this beautiful green mist,

Allowing you to feel relaxed and ready to head towards the sleepy forest,

Letting all of the thoughts in your brain get nice and quiet.

You have nowhere to be but here.

We are going on an adventure today through the sleepy forest,

Imagining now that you've just entered a beautiful green forest with your favorite person in the whole world,

Maybe a family member or a friend.

As you walk together,

You see tall,

Tall trees everywhere.

You have never seen trees this tall.

As you begin to walk through this forest,

You feel the bumpy gravel beneath your feet.

As you look around,

You notice that the bumpy tree trunks have friendly little eyes on them.

All of a sudden,

One of the trees yawns.

You take a look at your watch and realize that it must be bedtime.

As you look around and around,

All of the trees are yawning slowly and getting themselves into the perfect position to sleep.

They breathe slowly and calmly,

Swaying to the sound of the wind.

You see a little family of squirrels run by the forest floor,

Scurrying about,

Looking for somewhere safe to sleep tonight.

They search and they search,

Looking for a comfortable place to rest their heads.

The squirrel family decides to rest their heads in a log nearby.

They gather crinkled up leaves and rest their heads on them.

The mama squirrel sleeps nice and close to her babies to keep them warm.

You hear some birds chirping above your head,

So you look up and you notice some robins.

You notice the mama bird is trying to get her babies to sleep.

She wraps her wings around them and they begin to close their eyes softly as they rest in their big brown nest.

The sun gently begins to set,

So you decide to turn on your flashlight.

You feel safe here.

You're with your favorite person.

You both take a big deep breath together in through your nose and out from your mouth and you continue on your journey through the sleepy forest.

You are fascinated by what you're seeing.

You soon spot a pair of orange foxes trotting about the forest.

They circle trees and bushes,

Looking for somewhere to rest their little heads too.

They land on a big green bush that hugs them as they lay in it.

They look so comfortable here.

Next you see a beautiful deer walking by slowly grazing on leaves.

You can tell she's very sleepy.

She's having a quick snack before heading back to her family to have a little snooze.

A pack of gray raccoons sneaks by you too.

They are looking for something to eat.

They like to stay up at night,

So you watch them walk by full of energy.

Unlike all of the other animals,

You watch them as they scurry about the forest looking for food.

After a lot of walking,

You and your favorite person decide that you are going to take a short rest too.

You sit down and lean your backs against the tree trunks and you close your eyes just for a few minutes.

You feel calm here.

You feel safe here.

You feel relaxed here.

Whenever you are ready,

You are safe to fall asleep too.
