Welcome to this bedtime meditation.

Today we are going on a very special adventure.

So allow yourself to get super comfortable,

Grabbing a pillow and a blanket,

Maybe a stuffed animal too.

Close your eyes gently and let's use our imagination to go on a special adventure.

Let your entire body become relaxed and still.

Relaxing your face,

Your cheeks,

Relaxing your shoulders and your arms.

Relaxing your chest and belly.

See if you can relax your legs and your toes too.

Take a slow deep breath in through your nose like you are smelling a warm cookie and exhale slowly like you are cooling them off so you can eat them.

Try that one more time.

Slow deep breath in through your nose like you are smelling a delicious warm cookie and exhale slowly like you are cooling it off.

Imagine now that you are living in the time of the dinosaurs.

The air feels hot and sticky and you can hear the sounds of different dinosaurs all around you.

You yourself are a huge dinosaur with a big long neck.

You are as tall as a house.

What color are you?

You walk through the forest knocking down any trees that get in your way.

You decide to take a short rest before you go to look for some food.

You rest your head down on some cool green moss and you can feel the warmth of the sun shining down on your warm dinosaur skin.

As you relax you decide to take some deep breaths.

Go ahead and fill up your big dinosaur lungs with air and then let all the air out.

Can you do this three more times?

Give it a try.

Inhaling,

Filling up those big lungs and then letting all the air out.

Two more times.

Inhaling,

Filling up those big dinosaur lungs.

Exhaling all of the air out.

One more.

See if you can do this one even slower.

Inhale all the way in.

Exhale all the way out.

You have had such an amazing time as a dinosaur today.

You feel so peaceful and so calm.

Are you ready now to return back to your human self?

How do you feel?

You can drift off to sleep now and I'll see you next time.

This was an amazing experience. I really felt like a dinosaur, and I almost fell asleep in the middle of it. I loved it!
