Hello,
My name is Kari.
This meditation is going to help you to learn how to prep your third eye,
Your inner sight during your meditation so that you can see more,
Become a witness,
A visual witness of colors,
Shapes,
Images,
Whatever level you're at in your practice.
These are just some simple tips and tools I can share with you that will help you to activate your third eye quicker.
So with that being said,
Make sure that you're in a seated position and you're comfortable.
Open your spine,
Relax your shoulders,
Close down your eyes and start to focus on your breath,
Slowing your breath down so that you can send signals to the brain that it's time to relax,
To be still and quiet.
Just focus on your breathing and nothing else right now.
Breathing in,
Breathing out,
Noticing the sensations,
The feelings.
With your eyelids closed down so that your eyes are actually closed and you can't see anything else in the outside world,
I'd like you to look up inside of your eyes,
Starting to strain your eyes,
Looking up into the space that would be the middle of your forehead.
From your inner perspective,
Look up and stare out.
You don't want to strain your eyes too much,
But you will feel the sensation of your eye muscles pulling just a little bit as you look up as if you're staring into and through the middle of your forehead.
You don't want to go as far as looking up and staring up out of the top of your head.
You can try that right now if you want to and you'll notice the different sensation.
It feels more strained as if you're staring up,
Trying to stare out of your crown chakra on the top of your head.
We don't want to go that far.
You just want to soften your gaze a little bit,
Come down and stare out of the middle of your forehead.
So there's strain,
But not too much.
When you create that strain,
As you stare out into that space there in front of your mind with your eyes closed,
You may start to get a flickering sensation or a slight movement going on in your physical eyes.
This flickering sensation is totally normal,
So allow that to happen.
If it happens to you,
Maybe it won't,
But if it does,
Be aware that that's okay.
Staring out into that space,
Start to imagine in your mind that that space is a big wide open space.
Instead of just seeing black because your eyes are closed,
Imagine that you're actually standing at the doorway or on the edge of the world looking out into the cosmos,
Out into the galaxy,
The night sky,
The stars,
However you want to see it in your mind,
But see it as wide and vast,
Expansive and never ending.
And as you're standing there,
Know that you're on the edge of going wherever you want to to in your mind,
The beginning of an inner journey,
Whether that's into the past,
Past lives,
Dimensions,
Other planets,
Other realities,
Or maybe it's just to recall something from last week.
Know that this is the opening to your imagination and your intuition combined so that your third eye can start to visualize things,
To start to allow visions to come to you in this big wide open space.
Keep feeling that strain.
Also know that sometimes when you start to practice using your third eye,
It's common to get headaches.
It's common to feel a pressure in the middle of your forehead.
It's common to feel a pressure more towards the back of your head as if it's in the middle of your brain.
All these things are common.
If you just relax like this and breathe for a while,
One of the first things that you may experience is the color purple or the color green.
Those are the most common and you may start to see them as shades or blobs of color going into the black,
Coming into color,
Fading into black,
Coming into color,
Fading back into black.
This is the activation process,
Beginning of the activation process of your third eye.
It's starting to open.
So the color purple or the color green or both of them combined is good.
The patterns and the images created kind of look like a lava lamp.
So if it feels and looks like that,
You're on the right track.
Just relax with it.
Breathe into it.
Just enjoy that part of where you're at for now.
Don't worry about any visualizations.
Don't worry about anything else other than just breathing,
Relaxing,
Enjoying and possibly seeing some colors or shapes or shadows.
Sit for as long as you need to right now and practice,
But for now we'll leave it there.
