Hello,
My name is Corrie.
For this meditation,
It's ideal if you're outside.
Maybe you've gone for a walk or you're sat outside staring at a tree.
Please make it so that you're sat looking at a tree or close by to a tree,
Or maybe staring out of your window at a tree for this meditation.
Once you get yourself settled,
Sat down comfortably,
So that you can see the tree right there in your vision,
Just take a few deep breaths.
Allow to feel into your body,
And as you breathe in and out,
Purposefully soften on your exhales.
Allow your body to just soften,
To drop,
Relax.
Be aware of the earth beneath your sit bones.
If you're sat on the ground,
Maybe place your fingertips on the ground next to you,
And just gently move them so that you can connect to the texture of the earth beneath your fingers.
If you're on a bench or a chair,
Feel that solidity underneath your sit bones.
Feel the connection with you,
Your body,
And that that's beneath you.
Breathe nice and slow.
Long,
Calm,
Slow,
Deep breaths.
And then start to pay attention to your tree,
The subtle movements of the leaves.
See if you can sense the energy of your tree,
Its personality,
The energy and aura around the tree.
Does your tree feel majestic,
Gentle,
Strong?
Does your tree feel easygoing,
Calm,
Or active?
Feel into just the overall sense of what this tree brings to you.
What does it make you feel?
Watch the way it moves.
Watch it as the earth interacts around it.
Maybe there's insects,
Butterflies,
Birds coming to be with it,
Just like you.
Can you sense it reaching for the sun,
For the sky?
Can you imagine the network of roots,
Connection and communication below it?
Can you let yourself be fed by the energy of your tree?
Of course,
In communication with the tree,
Establishing that the tree is willing and open to share its energy.
Start to imagine that you're an open vessel,
Magnetically pulling its energy towards you.
And when you receive the entirety and download of what this tree is,
See yourself sending energy back.
Open your heart.
Open your throat.
Leaning forward just a little,
Opening your throat by allowing your head to just fall back slightly.
Exposing your front body to the tree.
Sending out.
Pushing your energy forward towards the tree.
As a thank you.
A gift.
Soften once again and pull in more energy from your tree.
Pull in the rich life force of the tree.
Take a few deep breaths as you do so.
Absorb it as much as you can.
See it entering through your skin.
Pull it in with your breath.
Pull it in with your eyes.
And then exhale and push your energy out.
Once again,
Opening your heart,
Exposing your throat,
Sending out your love.
In to receive.
Out to give.
An exchange between you and your tree.
Sit for as long as you feel necessary.
