Are you ready to meditate with Cori?
Make sure that you're comfortable in your bed so that you can relax your body.
Close your eyes if it feels right for you.
Begin to let your body soften into your bed.
Imagine that your breath is connected to all the different parts of your body.
So without even trying,
Every time you breathe in,
You're breathing in this really nice,
Comfortable feeling of relaxation.
Welcome in that feeling into your body.
And every time you breathe out,
Without trying,
You let go of any unwanted feelings or emotions.
You're automatically starting to release them every time you take a nice big deep breath out.
Breathing in the relaxation and breathing out anything that doesn't serve you in a positive way.
Imagine that when you breathe in,
This relaxation goes to different parts of your body.
So for example,
On the next time you breathe in a nice big deep breath,
Imagine you're breathing that relaxation into your face,
The back of your head,
The top of your head.
You can even use your inner sight and try and imagine seeing your breath coming into your body,
Into your head,
Swirling around in there,
Relaxing all the little muscles in your face.
Softening the tension around your eyes,
Relaxing your cheeks,
Your jaw.
And then when you breathe out,
Remember you're breathing out anything,
Any emotions or thoughts you don't need.
With your inner sight,
You can see those thoughts and feelings being breathed out of your mouth or your nose,
Just drifting off and disappearing around you.
The next breath in,
Bringing in the relaxation.
See it in your mind,
Traveling down into your throat,
The back of your neck.
Let the relaxation in your breathing soften the muscles across the back of your shoulders.
Breathing out any tightness,
Any worries or stresses,
So your shoulders can get all soft and relaxed.
With your next breath,
Breathe down into both of your arms.
Imagine your breath rolling down over your shoulders,
Down into your upper arms,
Down into your elbows.
Breathing into your lower arms and your wrists.
Keep breathing all the way down into your fingers and your hands,
Feeling them get heavy and soft and comfortable.
Breathe in a nice big breath in through your nose,
All the way down into your chest.
Imagine your chest muscles getting all soft and relaxed.
Your body is getting heavier and heavier,
More and more comfortable in your bed.
Breathe down into your tummy,
Relaxing your heart,
Your lungs,
Your liver,
Your kidneys.
Breathing all the way down into your tummy,
Into your stomach,
Everything inside of you.
You're breathing in that relaxation.
And you're doing it all by yourself,
By listening to my voice,
By allowing your body to soften more and more.
Your muscles get all jiggly and wiggly and relaxed.
Imagine this next big breath in,
You're breathing all the way down into your bum cheeks.
You're softening the muscles in your bum,
Relaxing your hips,
Letting your body get super heavy and comfortable.
Taking your breath down into your legs,
Breathing out any discomfort or tightness or tension.
Maybe you've been busy all day and your body's all tight and tense,
Or you were stressed at school.
Now it's time for you to just let your body completely relax.
You can listen to my soothing voice,
As if I'm right there with you,
As you start to let your body fall to sleep.
See in your mind,
Your relaxing breath moving through your upper legs,
Down into your knees,
Down into your lower legs and your calf muscles.
Let them get wiggly and jiggly,
Soft and relaxed.
Imagine you're breathing down into your ankles and your feet.
Even your toes get soft and relaxed.
And then once you're completely comfortable,
Using your imagination,
See yourself walking towards a really big,
Beautiful pond outside in nature.
It's the perfect day,
Not too warm,
Not too cold.
There's a nice gentle breeze in the air.
And as you walk up to the pond,
You look down and see your bare feet squishing in the dirt.
You move a little bit closer to the water,
Where the dirt is wet and cold,
And it squelches through your toes and you can feel it underneath your feet.
Moving your feet so that the mud completely covers them,
As if you're seeds in the soil and you're planting your seeds deep into the mud.
The pond is clear and the water looks sparkly under the sun.
You can see through the water,
There's tiny little fissures and there's green wreaths and plants at the base.
There's lots of different big pebbles and stones down there.
On the surface of the pond,
There's a couple of big lily pads and on top of one lily pad in the middle,
There's a frog that's making a lot of noise.
There's hummingbirds close by,
Hovering around the different flowers around the pond.
And if you're really still,
There's two dragonflies that keep coming quite close,
Flying really close to the top,
The surface of the water.
But if you move slightly,
They fly off really quick.
There is one ginormous,
Really big lily pad very close to you.
It looks spongy,
Thicker than you thought lily pads were,
As if it would be soft to lay on.
Just thinking about it feels inviting.
You take a step into the water and the water feels really cool and refreshing.
There was some tiny little fish close by that swam away really quickly as soon as you disturbed the water.
You decide that that lily pad is calling your name,
As if it's inviting you to just go lay on it and relax.
It would only take a couple of steps to get there.
You take those steps and climb up onto the soft,
Spongy lily pad and sit in the middle.
A little bit of water gets onto the lily pad,
But you don't mind.
It's really sturdy and you feel really safe.
For a moment you feel just like that frog in the middle of the pond making a lot of noise.
Then you ribbit out loud,
Which makes you feel silly.
You look up at the sky and there's big white clouds up there,
Surrounded by a deep blue sky.
You lay down on the lily pad,
Laying back and looking up.
This way you can really pay close attention to the clouds moving across the sky,
Making shapes.
Watching them change as the wind blows through them.
One cloud looks like a dinosaur and then,
About 30 seconds later,
It shifts and changes with the wind and then it looks like a horse.
And then it looks like it's melting as the wind blows it and it shifts into just a cloud again,
With no shape or form.
Laying on your lily pad feels really relaxing.
It's really comfortable.
And there's a movement in the pond that makes it sway a little bit.
Not as much as if it was waves on the ocean,
But you imagine that this is probably what a water bed would feel like.
The water moving under the weight of your body and if you move it moves even more.
As if you're laying on top of a giant bowl of jello,
Wobbling underneath you.
And you can't quite stay completely still.
There's always a little bit of a ripple going on underneath your body.
Closing your eyes,
Closing out the sky,
The day,
The pond.
You just let your body float.
You feel like you're floating but also as if you could be falling.
Falling through the air.
Falling through the clouds.
Forever falling.
Relaxing more and more.
And then it feels as if you're back on the giant lily pad.
Relaxing.
Feeling sleepier and sleepier each breath.
The sound of the frog ribbiting in the background and all of the sounds of nature all around you seem to be fading and getting quieter.
As if you're fading into another world.
Pulling away from this world.
Closer to a place of quiet and sleep.
Feeling so sleepy.
You barely hear anything now.
Maybe just the occasional sound.
And some relaxing gentle music coming from somewhere.
That lulls you deeper and deeper into sleep.
