Are you ready to meditate with Kori?
Lay down in your bed and get super comfortable.
This is going to be a very relaxing,
Sleepy,
Gentle meditation story to help you fall to sleep safely and soundly and very,
Very happy.
With your eyes closed,
Closing off the rest of the world,
I want you to take a nice big deep breath.
See if you can breathe all the way down to your tummy,
A big breath as if you're gonna take a big breath and hold your breath for a really long time.
One of those kind of breaths.
Breathe in and then breathe out.
Breathe in a really big deep,
Deep,
Deep breath and then breathe it all out.
And when you breathe out,
See if you can empty all of your tummy,
All of your lungs as if you're cleaning your insides with your breath.
Let's try again one more time.
Biggest,
Biggest,
Biggest,
Deepest breath.
Breathe all the way into the bottom of your tummy and then breathe it all out.
Really,
Really powerful.
Breathe it out.
That's it.
And now let your body just settle.
Let your breathing fall into a nice relaxed pace.
Keeping your eyes closed,
You're going to use your imagination for this meditation.
So that means we're going to change things around in our minds.
Even though in reality,
You're laid on your bed and you've got your eyes closed and you're in your bedroom and you're safe and comfortable and warm under your covers.
Imagine that you're actually laid on the biggest,
Roundest,
Like most widest trampoline you've ever seen and you're right in the middle,
Laid down in like a star shape with your arms out to the sides and your legs wide open.
So you look like you're making a star with your body.
Imagine that that's where you are instead of on your bed.
And because you've got your eyes closed,
It's easier to envision,
Use the vision in your mind.
It's easier to envision that you're staring up at the sky.
You're not bouncing on the trampoline or anything like that yet.
You're just taking a little break.
You're staring up at the sky.
Big fluffy clouds.
There's birds in the sky.
Occasionally you can hear one squawk or make a bird noise.
You can see the sun over to the right shining down through the clouds.
Shining down on the trees and the grass,
The flowers.
And also you can feel it on your body shining down on you.
It feels warm,
Just like it does under the covers in your bed.
But when you use your imagination,
You can also feel the slightest breeze.
As if there's just a gentle breeze blowing through the trees and all around you.
And you can feel the breeze on your face.
It gently moves your hair.
And the breeze is nice and cool and refreshing.
Using your imagination,
Imagine that you're going to get up,
You start to move and then you get onto your feet on the trampoline.
It's quite difficult to move around and get up because the trampoline is so bouncy.
It's not like it's sturdy like concrete underneath your body.
It moves and shifts and changes as you try and get up onto your feet.
But you manage it.
You get up,
You take a wide stance with your feet and you start to gently jump.
Imagine just gentle jumps up and down in the middle of the most enormous,
Awesome,
Fantastic trampoline you've ever seen.
In fact,
The trampoline is that big that you don't see the end of it.
As if you were stood in the middle of the ocean and you couldn't see any mountains or any land,
Anything.
That's what the trampoline is.
That's how big it is.
Imagine that in your mind.
You can make the trampoline whatever colour you want.
It doesn't have to be black.
So think about what colour you want to bounce on.
Just do some gentle,
Awesome bounces.
Up and down.
Up and down.
Up and down.
Now you start to put a little bit more bounce into it.
A little bit more bend in your legs.
So you start to go higher.
Imagine you're jumping higher now.
You bring your legs a little bit closer together so you become more like a bullet shape.
You're jumping up and then landing down.
Up and then landing down.
It takes longer between jumps because you're going higher.
Now you decide to have some fun on the trampoline.
So you do a front flip.
You go all the way around as if you're doing a roly poly in the air and then you land back on your feet.
You get some rhythm,
You get some height and then you do it again.
You forward roll.
You tuck yourself up into a small tiny ball as if you're an armadillo or a little pill bug and you roll and curl yourself up.
You roll over all the way around and then open up like a big starfish and land back on your feet.
You're really good at this.
You've done it many times and you feel very safe and secure.
You keep jumping.
This time you jump and make a star shape up in the sky.
The next time you jump,
You land on your back and pull your legs into your chest and wrap your hands around your knees as if you're curling up but then you quickly unfold and bounce back up and land on your feet once again.
You're doing all the tricks.
This time you think I'm gonna twist in the air.
I'm gonna see if I can do a full spin like a pirouette all the way around.
You get some height.
You bounce.
You bounce.
You bounce even higher.
You bounce even higher.
You bounce so high it gives you more time in the air and you turn around like a gymnast or a ballerina up in the air a full spin until you go all the way around in a clockwise rotation.
Finding yourself back facing forward landing perfectly on your feet.
Again and again and again you bounce.
Your legs don't get tired.
You don't get out of breath.
You have so much energy bouncing on this giant trampoline.
You bounce.
You bounce.
You bounce.
You're getting so high now like the highest you've ever been on a trampoline.
It's ridiculously high.
You're thinking maybe I could do two full somersaults forward.
Not just one.
Two because you're going so high.
You go for it.
You flip over and then pull yourself around and flip over once again and then successfully land back on your feet.
Two full somersaults.
You've never done that before.
Okay you think to yourself if I'm going this high maybe I can do two full spins.
Not just one full spin.
Not one 360 degree spin.
No.
Two.
Two spins.
You start bouncing with some momentum.
You put more power in your legs.
You make yourself nice and thin and narrow just like a bullet flying out of a gun.
You come up and down and up and down and up and down.
Higher and higher and higher.
And when you feel like it's right you do one full spin and then two full spins and then you land perfectly.
Slow down your bouncing.
Settle things down.
You're smiling really big because you're so proud of yourself.
What could I try now?
Maybe I could do a backflip.
A full backflip.
You've never done a full backflip before.
There's something about going backwards that's a little bit more scary.
It's like you really have to trust.
You start to bounce with some more power.
Bouncing higher and higher.
Even higher.
You think you best get really high because you don't want to land in a strange way even though you know you'd be safe and it wouldn't hurt because you're on the trampoline.
But still get higher and higher.
Your legs are starting to get just a little bit tired.
Higher still and then you go for it.
You flip all the way backwards and land perfectly on your feet.
It's like you can do no wrong.
You're awesome on this trampoline.
You're like a natural.
You're like an Olympic medalist.
You're so good.
You have fun.
You jump.
You laugh.
You play and try all different things.
But you start to notice that your legs are getting tired.
They feel heavier.
It's like you're losing a little bit of bounce out of your bungee.
Not as much power you notice.
You're not going as high as you first did but you're still going strong.
You keep bouncing.
You keep playing.
You're having the best time bouncing over and over.
Your muscles and your legs are starting to talk louder and louder.
I'm tired.
Can we take a break?
Can we have a rest?
But you keep bouncing through it as if you don't hear it.
But then they get louder.
I'm so tired.
We've done so much today.
Just a little break.
Just a rest.
Let's just take a little rest.
Your legs don't want to be quiet.
They don't give you a break.
Let's just lay down on the trampoline.
Let's just watch the clouds go by.
Let's just relax.
Just for a little bit.
Eventually you slow down your bouncing until you're just doing the tiniest little gentle bounces.
Your legs are hip distance apart now.
Just relaxed and then you come to a stop.
You sit down on your bum and then you lay back and lay your arms out to your side.
Palms facing up to the sky.
You open your legs and let your feet fall out and relax.
Once again laying in that starfish position.
You can feel your heart beating in your chest.
And that's when you realize you were really really going for it.
Your heart's loud.
It's all you can hear.
It's all you can feel.
Like someone's drumming in the background.
You take a big deep breath and notice the slower your breath is,
The deeper your breath is,
Your heart starts to slow down.
As if your breath is feeding your heart.
Cuddling your heart,
Relaxing your heart.
Like they're connected.
You stare up at the sky and watch the clouds.
They're all different shapes and sizes.
You're settling down.
You're no longer up.
You're now down.
Settle down as if you're laid on a bed,
Relaxing your body.
Slow down your heartbeat.
Slow down your mind.
You realize how tired you were.
How much effort you put out.
You relax completely and let go.
You let the trampoline support your entire body.
Closing off your eyes.
Closing out the world.
And falling fast asleep.
The end.
