Are you ready to meditate with Corrie?
Make sure that you're all comfortable and snug in your bed,
That the light is just right in your room so that you can relax your body and let go of your busy,
Busy day.
Coriander was in her bedroom.
She was hanging out with the latest addition to the family,
Her new black cat.
She'd wanted a black cat for the longest,
Longest time.
Now if you know anything about witches,
You know that they have a special place in their heart for black cats.
Depending on what you know about black cats,
Some people say that they're good look and some people say that they're not.
Coriander was in the mindset that black cats are very,
Very good look and also very special.
They got Obsidian from the pound and as soon as Coriander laid eyes on him,
That was it.
His eyes were bright orange and yellow,
Like an amber color,
And he was black as night with no patches,
No spots,
Just completely black.
The way he was sat in the cage at the pound,
He looked very regal and wise and when she looked into his eyes,
She knew that that was her cat.
Obsidian had settled into Coriander's life as if it was very natural and he'd always,
Always been there.
In Coriander's room,
She had one wall with a lot of shelves on it and in the shelves,
There were different potions,
You could say,
Oils,
There were different tinctures that she'd made,
Salts,
Crystals,
All the things that she'd use when she was making her special spells or potions for different things.
Whether it was something as simple as a potion to make her hair shiny or something as complex as making a potion for a friend that wanted a boyfriend.
Obsidian had decided that his favorite part of Coriander's room were those shelves.
They were wide enough for him to walk along,
Even sit on or sleep on.
He liked to sniff at the different jars and smell the ingredients inside.
It was like he was getting to know everything about them.
Coriander was talking to him one day in his room.
She was asking him what potion he needed.
I'm going to make you a potion,
Obsidian,
A potion that will make your fur so shiny that it will glisten like a night light in the dark.
Obsidian's ears were moving and his head would twitch in and turn in as she was talking to him.
He was listening very intently.
I might need some help,
She said.
What do you think should go in the potion?
As if Obsidian understood her completely,
He walked across her bedroom floor,
Jumped up onto the first shelf and started to weave his way in and out of the glass bottles.
He stopped at the lavender oil and nudged it very gently with his head.
Coriander intuitively connected to Obsidian.
She could feel him talking to her.
She walked over and took a hold of the lavender oil in her hand and said,
OK,
Good choice.
Lavender oil will make you smell delicious.
And also,
It has bacterial properties that will help your fur stay clean.
Keep away those fleas or little mites.
Very good choice.
OK,
What else,
Obsidian?
Obsidian walked along a different shelf,
Weaving in and out.
He stopped at the shea butter.
Oh,
I see where you're going with this,
Said Coriander.
You're making some kind of hair mask.
OK,
The shea butter will definitely make your hair very,
Very moisturized.
She took a hold of the jar of shea butter and Obsidian carried on walking on the shelves.
Next,
He stopped at the coconut oil.
He sniffed it and then nudged it with his head.
Yes,
Definitely coconut oil.
She grabbed a hold of the jar and then he went up another level.
Rosemary oil.
He nudged it with his head.
Coriander said,
Oh,
I like it.
This will definitely keep away those dark spirits.
Protect you,
Keep you safe.
And then Obsidian sat as if he was complete.
All right,
She said.
Let's get to work.
Because Obsidian had chosen shea butter,
Shea butter is very,
Very hard in its natural form.
So she put the shea butter in a pan and put the pan under a hot pad in her bedroom.
The oil started to melt slowly and she added some coconut oil.
She added the essential oil of lavender and rosemary and she stirred it with her very special wooden spoon that she loved and treasured and used all the time when she was making spells.
As she stirred the potion,
She closed her eyes and saw Obsidian,
Her cat with the shiniest fur.
She was visualizing the energy she wanted to put into a potion as if she was sending the magical vision down her arm,
Down the spoon,
Down into Obsidian's fur potion.
She stirred and stirred and stirred.
She saw him outside when it was nighttime.
And because his fur was so sleek and healthy and shiny,
It was as if the lights reflected off him and made it so he was very visible in the dark.
She saw all of these things in her inner sight through her third eye,
Creating the magic in her mind,
Starting to make the energy of what she wanted become something of a reality.
The visions were strong and as she saw them in her mind,
She felt very happy and her happy energy also went down her arm and down her spoon and into the potion as she stirred and stirred and stirred.
It was very important to add the visualizations when you're making a potion,
To add the energy of what you desire,
To see it in your mind's eye as clear as day,
As if it was already real.
She stirred and stirred.
Obsidian sat by her side on the floor next to her.
He sat just like he did in his cage in the pound,
Very wise and regal looking,
His eyes staring very intensely at the spoon as it stirred around and around.
Coriander opened her eyes and said,
And so it is.
She directed the statement at the potion and then she went over to her shelves and grabbed an empty potion bottle.
She poured it into the bottle very carefully and then she put it on the shelf to cool.
The bottle had a wide neck because she would need to be able to put her fingers in it so that she could scrape some of the potion out and apply it to Obsidian's fur as if she was massaging him,
Putting a hair mask on him.
It didn't take very long before the potion was cool enough to do this and Obsidian just sat there with his eyes closed as if he was blissfully enjoying the whole process.
He was all greasy and all his fur was stuck to his body and it looked really funny.
Coriander laughed at him a lot.
She left it on for a few hours and then gave him a warm bath and everything melted off his fur and left him with the most shiny,
Silky looking fur that she'd ever seen.
He looked amazing.
You could tell that the way he was strutting around her bedroom that he felt very good about his hair.
Coriander got her special spell book out and wrote down everything that she did for Obsidian's fur.
She named the spell Obsidian's Fur.
She underlined it as if it was a title and then she wrote down the amounts that she used and what she did to make the potion and the date so she could remember it in her spell book forever and a day,
Just in case she needed it again one day.
And as she did this,
Obsidian curled up on her lap and went to sleep.
Coriander felt very complete as a witch having her black cat.
She was very,
Very happy.
The End.
