If even the smallest of actions are steps forward in the right direction,

The only thing you ever need to be afraid of is standing still.

Welcome to Coached by Nikki Dyer.

Today's practice is simple,

Yet undeniably effective.

Because it forces you to focus on only one thing you would like to accomplish today.

Yes,

Only one.

As a reminder that wherever your attention goes,

Energy flows.

And a shift in perspective can transform your entire reality.

So we begin here,

By closing down your eyes,

As you center your mind in your heart.

By taking a deep breath in,

And exhale as you sink down a little deeper still.

Feel how the air around you is unlimited.

There is no lack.

No visible sign of its presence.

Yet here it is.

Every morning is an opportunity to be something new that you weren't yesterday.

Maybe your mind is goal oriented.

Or maybe it's about being more purposeful in the ways you spend your time.

Or perhaps it's accomplishing something that you have been putting off.

Every expert will tell you that the secret to achieving any goal is to break it down into bite-sized pieces.

To make it achievable.

Small achievements add up to big change.

Your habits shape your identity.

It's slow and nearly impossible to see.

You can rarely tell a difference between who you were yesterday and who you are today.

But each time you take a step forward,

Life creates a bit more space.

Before your mind begins to wander to your to-do lists,

I welcome you to take a moment here.

To take another deep breath in,

And exhale as you let the pressure to do it all go.

To re-ground and re-center your focus back to your breath.

Meditation is about going within.

To find the answers already there.

As you soak in the stillness,

I welcome you to bring a goal to the front of your mind.

Just one.

And as you see this goal in front of you,

The only thing you need to do here is to think of one small action you could accomplish toward that goal today.

Just one thing that feels like a true step in the right direction.

And once it naturally comes forward,

Gently nod your head to connect your mind and your body.

This nod represents a commitment you are making to yourself.

A promise from you to you.

That this is something that matters.

And you are worthy of seeing it through.

You are deserving of great things happening in your life.

Take a deep breath in here.

And exhale.

As I remind you that the universe wants to support you in all of your dreams,

The answer is always yes.

I welcome your mind back into your body.

Beginning to bring gentle movements to any of your limbs that feel right.

Wiggling your fingers or your toes.

Rolling your shoulders and your neck.

And when you feel ready,

Open your eyes and come back to the space around you.

Even the smallest of actions are steps forward in the right direction.

The only thing you ever need to be afraid of is standing still.

Baby steps today! I have so much going on in my life my mind was bouncing all around in my meditation as to what to set as a goal… organize my laundry room, pay bills, block my ex and work on the final letting go…. And so on….ugh!! But I do love what you said about the only thing I should be afraid of is standing still…. So I will take some steps today and see what comes up! Thank you Niki!
