Close down your eyes and settle right in.

Tonight's sleepy story is about to begin.

With a deep breath in and a deep breath out.

Can you stretch out your body and let any wiggles come out?

And take another deep breath in.

As we start to use your imagination.

Every single night,

The moon sleeps under a blanket of stars.

But tonight,

The moon is too,

Too small.

And it looks kind of dark.

The moon man whose job it is to blow up the moon has a cold.

And the moon,

It needs your help.

Can you help the moon?

Great.

Let's take a couple deep breaths first for practice.

Lie still on your back with your hands on your belly.

Close your eyes and picture the moon in your mind.

As you breathe in,

Feel your hands lift as your belly rises.

Feel your belly sink back down when you breathe out.

If it helps,

You can imagine you are sniffing a beautiful pink flower.

Breathing in its lovely smell.

Breathing out.

And feel how your body relaxes every time you breathe out.

Now take your hands off your tummy and let your arms lie by your sides.

But instead of your bed,

I want you to imagine you are sleeping on a star in the sky.

A beautiful golden star that sparkles.

It gently floats up,

Up,

Up into the night,

Getting closer and closer to the moon every time you take a breath in and out.

It safely carries you up and up.

And the star makes your body feel warm and heavy.

Your feet feel warm and heavy.

Your legs feel warm and heavy.

Your tummy feels warm and heavy.

Your arms and hands feel warm and heavy.

Your fingers feel warm and heavy.

And your head is warm and heavy.

The star is so soft and cozy.

Its golden light wraps you up like a cozy blanket.

You feel so cozy and comfortable that you don't want to move.

Take a deep breath in and breathe out like you're blowing up a balloon.

Let's do it one more time.

Take a deep breath in and blow your air all the way into the balloon.

The moon grows bigger and brighter every time you breathe in and out.

You did it,

My little friend.

The moon is bright and full tonight.

And helping the moon has made you sleepy.

Your body is filled with peaceful feelings from the warm glow of the star.

You are safe and you are loved.

Thank you for helping the moon with me.

I'm so proud of you.
