This Rise and Shine Morning Meditation is special for me to share with you today because it is my own practice that I do every day.
Starting your day with a few intentional breaths and my favorite reflection will help you open to the possibilities of the day that lies ahead.
After all,
It is in these moments of gratitude and simple happiness that you will find your life.
Welcome to Coached by Nikki Dyer.
Begin by finding yourself in a comfortable resting position of your choice.
If you just woke up,
This meditation can be done in bed or anywhere else you like to meditate.
Close your eyes and bring your awareness to your inner world.
Finding three deep breaths to really relax into the space.
Breathing in through the nose,
Expanding deep in your lower belly and release with a sigh.
Breathing in,
Feeling your belly expand and breathing out through your mouth,
Feeling your body relaxed.
And again,
Breathing in with the deepest breath yet,
Breathe out as you let it all go.
Let your breath and your body settle.
Allow your inhales and exhales to become soft and equal.
And simply focus on just your breath and just really focus on being here.
Being only here as your body breathes for you.
Shift your focus to your heart space now,
If it feels right for you.
Bring your hands to rest over your heart,
Feeling the rise and fall of your chest as I ask you to bring a thought to your mind.
A simple memory or a moment in time when connected to feeling emotions of gratitude and simple happiness.
It doesn't have to be a distant memory or anything significant.
Perhaps it was a small moment from yesterday,
The last time you saw your best friend.
Sitting with your family around a table as you enjoy a simple meal.
Some excitement when you realized something you have been hoping for was starting to happen.
Whatever memory feels right for you is perfect.
When you land on something,
Recognize how your heart feels and how it makes you feel in your body.
It is in these moments of gratitude and simple happiness that you will find your life captured in small,
Quick moments that make you feel alive.
You are the main character in the story of your life.
Continue to be guided by the pulse of your own heart.
Celebrate your story as it's happening,
Your life.
It is in these little moments and they are all around you.
Take a big breath in and when you are ready,
Open your eyes.
It's the start of a brand new day.
