Conflict has a way of pulling people into quick reactions that often make things worse. In this video, you’ll learn a simple three-step approach to handle those moments with more clarity: pause before responding, ask thoughtful questions with genuine curiosity, and create space afterward to meditate and reflect. These steps help you slow the moment down, understand what’s really happening, and respond more intentionally. Over time, this practice can turn difficult interactions into opportunities for insight and growth. Image credit: August de Richelieu, Pexels

Something that people find really difficult and with good reason is conflict.

So I want to give you three tips that I think you can use.

Moments that make you a little bit uneasy the first is in that exact moment remember to pause you want to take a breath you want to take a moment just to let your brain process what is happening when you have the impulse to speak and to react that's when things tend to go awry secondly just after the moment you want to enter a mode of curiosity so I always find that asking questions is actually much better than defending or attacking or making statements.

So be curious and ask a lot of questions.

And lastly,

Meditate and reflect on it.

So after the moment,

Maybe that evening.

You want to take a moment for yourself and think about what happened in that moment.

Think about how the person responded and how you responded and take any nuggets of wisdom from that for next time.

So I hope these three tips help.

See you soon.
