Welcome.

This is a time for rest and there is nothing you need to do except be here.

Make yourself comfortable in your bed,

Allowing your body to settle naturally.

You do not need to adjust anything unless it helps you feel more at ease.

Take a slow,

Deep breath in through your nose and release it gently through your mouth.

Let your breathing return to a calm,

Natural rhythm.

You do not need to focus on these words.

If sleep comes quickly,

That is perfect.

If it comes slowly,

That is also fine.

Notice the feeling of your body being supported by the bed.

Allow your muscles to soften,

Letting go of any tension.

From this point onward,

There will be long stretches of quiet for sleep.

Thoughts may arise and that is completely normal.

Simply allow them to pass.

Everything from today can wait until another time.

For now,

You are free to rest deeply and safely.

As rest comes to an end,

Your body may to wake naturally.

There is no need to hurry.

Notice your breathing becoming a little fuller and your awareness slowly returning.

Keep your eyes closed for a few moments if that feels comfortable.

Begin to notice the support beneath you and the space around you.

You may start to move gently,

Stretching your arms or legs as needed.

Carry this sense of rest with you into the rest of your day.

When you are ready,

Open your eyes slowly and begin your day with calmness and ease.
