In a comfortable seated position,
Feel your sitting bones connected to the surface thereon.
Feel them supported by the surface thereon.
Feel your spine straighten,
Your neck coming into alignment with your spine.
With the top of your head reaching towards the skies,
Roll your shoulders up to your ears,
Draw them back and feel your shoulder blades gliding down,
Reaching towards your sitting bones.
With your sitting bones reaching towards the earth,
And the top of your head reaching towards the skies,
Your heart is open.
With your awareness on the breath,
Can you feel how expansive your chest region can be?
On the exhale,
Can you feel how gentle your heart space can be?
Breathing in,
Breathing out,
Bringing your awareness to the sides of your eyes,
To your temples,
To the muscles behind your eyes,
To your eyelids.
How can you soften all the muscles around the eyes using a long inhalation and a long exhalation,
Just noticing any changes in the body or the mind?
Bringing some gentle movement to the fingers and toes,
Just remembering to bring some relaxation forward into the rest of your day.
