Come to a comfortable position,

Lying on your back,

And as you take your time to make any adjustments,

Just begin to slow the breath,

To soften all the edges,

And whenever you are ready,

You can softly close your eyes,

Taking this time to find your most comfortable resting position.

Take a deep breath in,

And breathe all the way out,

Emptying all the air,

Breathing in,

Filling all the spaces inside,

And as you exhale,

Allow your body to sink further into your position,

To sink further into your support,

Coming to your breath,

And just being with your breath,

The body and mind have worked so hard for you all day,

Now it's time to rejuvenate and rest,

So you can be fresh and ready for a new day to dwell.

Feel your chest and stomach rise with each breath in,

And fall with every breath out,

Rise as you breathe in,

Fall as you breathe out,

Bring your attention to the top of your head,

Feel it warm and soften,

As you breathe out,

Breathe out any tension that you're holding in the top of your head,

Breathing in the warmth to soften and loosen,

And breathing out to release and relax,

Feel your temples and entire forehead softening and releasing,

Feel your entire head lighten,

Now bring your attention to your face,

Feel your eyelids get heavier,

Feel your cheeks soften,

Feel your jaw release,

Naturally separating your lower jaw from the top of your mouth,

Bring some gentle movement to the lower jaw,

Moving it side to side,

Until you find its most comfortable position to rest in,

Take a deep breath in,

And as you exhale,

Release all the tension that you held in your forehead,

Your temples,

Your eyes,

Your jaw,

Your cheeks,

Your mouth,

And your chin,

Feel your face warm and soften,

Bring your attention to your neck and your shoulders,

Lowering your shoulders down away from the ears,

As you breathe in,

Imagine your neck stretching,

Imagine releasing any pressure from your spine,

Breathing out,

Exhaling any tension,

Feel yourself sinking into the surface below you a little deeper,

Bring your attention to the soft beating heart in your chest,

Imagine a golden light emanating from your heart,

Warming the body from its centre,

Feel this golden light spread throughout your body,

Soak in gratitude for its love,

Magic,

And life-giving energy,

Feel the body relax a little more deeply,

Feel your stomach soften,

If there's any discomfort within your torso,

Let your in-breath soothe it,

And let your out-breath release it,

Feeling your stomach and entire torso,

Relaxing deeper,

Releasing tension,

Becoming lighter,

More spacious,

Feel the warmth on your back,

As you bring all of your attention to your back,

Imagine the warm glow softening all the muscles in your back,

Allowing them to relax deeper into your comfortable sleeping position,

Feel the warm energy travel down your legs,

Into your hips,

Your thighs,

Your knees,

Your ankles,

Your feet,

Your toes,

Feel the heaviness of your legs on the bed,

Imagine them melting,

Sinking,

Melting,

Sinking,

Into deep sleep,

As you breathe in,

Fill your entire body with gratitude,

As you breathe out,

Allow your body to fall deeper into sleep,

Breathe in gratitude,

Breathe out,

Into deeper sleep.
