Hello,

My name is Charlotte.

And my name is Louie.

We are here to tell you a story.

That's right.

A story about one magical night in one house on the top of one hill,

Where inside the log fire burnt bright,

Chestnuts cooked,

And there were ever disappearing candy canes.

Where did they go?

I think someone might have kept eating them.

Me.

Tonight there were freshly baked biscuits.

And Santa Claus.

He was talking to his good friend Louie.

That's me.

So it is.

Every year Santa paid a visit to Louie,

Because each year Louie wrote to Santa about some special work they were doing at school.

And Santa was really always very excited to find out more.

This year I've been learning about kindness.

Kindness to others.

But it's also important to be kind to ourselves.

Sometimes it can seem really tricky to be kind to ourselves,

Can't it Louie?

Yes it can.

And we can find ourselves saying things like I can't do it.

I failed.

I can't do maths.

I'm not good enough.

But all of that's wrong,

Isn't it?

Why is it?

Because it's so important to be nice to yourself,

Louie.

Because you are so important and so amazing.

And yes,

There will be things that you don't feel very confident in,

But you can always ask for help.

And you'll always find something you love doing.

And then.

.

.

You'll be even more amazing.

Exactly.

Some people also don't feel so good.

And that's why it's really important to be nice to other people too.

We don't know what's going on for them.

Exactly.

So what kind words can you use,

Louie?

If someone was feeling sad,

What could be something nice someone could say?

Are you okay?

And if not,

Can I help you feel better?

Oh lovely.

And if you see someone and they feel lonely,

What could you say?

Would you like to play?

What are your favourite things?

Oh yes.

Get to know them better.

Yes.

So,

Louie spent the night telling Santa how important it was to be kind.

Not only to others,

But also to ourselves.

Have a great Christmas guys.

Yes!

Have a fat one guys.

And it's a bye from me.

It's a bye from me.

Namaste.

Namaste.
