Good morning.
Let's begin in a comfortable cross-legged position with your spine straight,
Your heart open and your chin tucked ever so slightly.
Your sit bones root firmly down,
Connecting you to the earth as your spine lengthens upward.
If you would prefer to lay down on your back in Shavasana for your meditation today,
Feel free to do so.
As you come to stillness,
Let your senses be fully awake.
Notice the sounds in the space around you.
Notice feelings moving through you.
Notice the dance of sensation in your body.
Begin to tune in and listen.
Take a few deep breaths to gather your focus.
Draw a deep breath in through the nose,
Filling the lungs,
And now exhale slowly through your mouth,
Emptying the lungs completely.
Draw another deep breath in through the nose.
Pause,
And as you gently,
Slowly exhale,
Notice the softening,
The relaxing,
The natural release,
Letting go.
One more deep breath in through the nose,
And exhale fully.
As your breath returns to a natural rhythm,
Inhaling and exhaling through your nose,
Take a moment to connect with the sincerity of why you're here,
Sitting in stillness at the start of a new day,
The sincerity within you that longs to be present,
Clear,
And intentional.
Bring a slight smile to your lips,
And let that smiling energy permeate every part of your body,
Softening and opening into this new day,
Welcoming the day with a smile,
Welcoming the day with warmth,
Friendliness,
And openness.
Sense if an intention arises for you today.
Intention is the creative power we each hold in manifesting our dreams and desires,
Big or small.
In the Vedic texts,
The Upanishads,
It is written that you are what your deepest desire is.
As your desire is,
So is your intention.
As your intention is,
So is your will.
As your will is,
So is your deed.
As your deed is,
So is your destiny.
Sense what your deepest desire is for today,
And set an intention that supports it.
Perhaps you desire health and well-being.
Your intention might be,
I honor and love every part of my strong,
Healthy body.
Every cell is luminous,
Filled with energy and vitality.
Perhaps you desire to be productive and focused.
You might mentally repeat the intention.
I am able to bend,
Stretch,
And expand time to suit my needs.
I glide through tasks effortlessly,
Staying focused and in flow until I reach a satisfied sense of completion.
My ability to get things done is miraculous.
Or maybe your desire is simply to be truly present throughout your day.
Your intention might be,
May my thoughts,
Words,
And actions today serve the highest good for all.
I am a channel for love,
Peace,
And consciousness.
I am grounded and present in each moment,
In each task,
In each conversation or exchange.
I activate pure presence.
Whatever arises and rings true for you today,
Focus on that intention for a few moments,
Mentally repeating it as you continue to breathe in and out slowly through your nose.
Inhale and exhale.
Realize yourself moving through your day with this intention in action.
Imagine that the intention becomes reality and sense how that would feel in your body.
Realize this feeling.
Thank you.
Now release your intention to the universe.
Send it off with a kiss or a high five or a hug and let it go.
Release your intention into the energy of potentiality.
Let it unfold and blossom.
Let it spread its wings and fly away.
That will be the Soul of the Universe.
Let's close our meditation this morning with a gratitude ritual.
Allow three things to come to mind that you are truly grateful for today.
These three things may be different from day to day.
They can be tiny details or grand blessings.
Whatever comes to mind for you,
Place your hand on your heart and give a heart-belt thank Throughout your day,
Remember that power is in the present moment.
Each and every moment is a sunrise,
A clean slate,
An opportunity for a fresh start.
Feel free to begin again and again and again.
Namaste.
Namaste.
