Welcome.
Namaste.
Let's find a comfortable position and begin to settle in.
Close the eyes.
Using awareness to the breath,
Recognize the inhale and the exhale.
Relax the shoulders.
Relax the jaw.
Relax the muscles across the forehead and around the eyes.
Feel the earth beneath you.
Feel a sense of steadiness,
A sense of groundedness.
As you settle in to your posture for this meditation,
Keep in mind,
All around the world,
There are others also meditating at this same time with you.
Let's take a deep inhale together.
Exhale,
Let it go.
Again,
Take an inhale and exhale,
Release the breath.
One more time.
Inhale and exhale.
Let it go.
For today's meditation,
We will use the Sanskrit mantra,
Loka samastah sukhino bhavantu.
What this means is may all beings be happy and free and may my thoughts,
Words and actions contribute to the happiness and freedom of all beings everywhere.
To become familiar with this mantra,
Please repeat after me,
Loka samastah sukhino bhavantu.
Again,
Loka samastah sukhino bhavantu.
One last time,
Loka samastah sukhino bhavantu.
Let's start.
Take a deep inhale.
Again deep inhale.
Loka samastah sukhino bhavantu.
May all beings be happy and free.
Again,
Deep inhale.
Loka samastah sukhino bhavantu.
Loka samastah sukhino bhavantu.
Continue chanting,
Continue breathing.
Feel the energy of this chant.
Alright?
.
.
.
Now begin to bring your awareness back to the present moment.
Let's take an inhale together.
And exhale,
Let it go.
Take this energy with you today.
Take this prayer,
This mantra,
This idea with you.
That all beings can be happy and free.
And that all of our lives are interconnected.
Across the world,
That's what loka means.
Loka means universe or world.
Samastah means that we all share this world together.
Suki no,
This means we should all have happiness and joy.
We should be free from suffering.
Bhavan too,
Is the essence or mood or feeling when we all come together as we should.
When you're ready,
Gently blink the eyes open.
Blessings to you.
Have a beautiful day.
Namaste.
