Hi,
Everybody.
My name is Brian,
And today we're going to teach you about resilience.
What is resilience?
Resilience is the ability to bounce back after something bad happens or we get hurt or we get sick.
Resilience is what helps us get back on track and keep doing good things with our lives.
So today,
We're going to learn how to use our breathing,
Our breath,
As a way to develop resilience.
So the next time something sad happens or something bad happens or we get in trouble or we're not sure what to do,
We can focus on our breath,
And we will find resilience.
And this will help us overcome the challenge or the trouble.
So let's get comfortable,
Sit somewhere comfortable,
And close your eyes.
Take a few moments and relax your body.
Let's take a breath together.
Inhale and exhale.
Good.
Let's do it again.
Inhale and exhale.
One last time.
Inhale and exhale.
Now you're going to continue breathing on your own to establish a steady rhythm with your breath.
So keep breathing and find a way to be calm,
To be relaxed.
Let's take one more breath together.
Inhale and exhale.
Now open your eyes.
How do you feel?
Hopefully you feel a little more calm,
A little stronger,
A little more relaxed.
And remember,
When you have challenges,
You can ask for help.
You can talk to a parent or teacher or friend,
And you don't have to go through your challenges alone.
You can listen to this meditation.
We'll see you next time.
Have a beautiful day.
