This is a moment that you have chosen for yourself to tap into your own ability to live with ease.
When we are worried,
Stressed,
Anxious,
Or upset,
The sense of ease seems to be absent,
But it's not.
It's always present in this moment.
Giving yourself permission right now for the next few minutes to attune to this inner sanctuary that is available to you now.
Settle into a comfortable position.
Gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Consider your intention for this practice,
Simply to be at ease in this moment as you are.
Bring your awareness to your breath and breathing.
Allow your soft attention to ride the breath like a wave for the full duration of the in and the full duration of the out breath as best you can.
And asking yourself now,
What am I experiencing right now?
What is the general tone of my experience?
Is it positive,
Neutral,
Negative?
However you are,
Just take a moment to acknowledge this.
Inviting in a quality of kindness here because it's hard.
As you do,
Notice how this feels within the body.
Bringing a soft attention to the edges of any sensations or feelings within the body.
Softening around any edges as you breathe in.
So breathing in this present moment and breathing out the past.
In this moment as you are,
Can you allow this feeling to be here?
It's already here,
So allowing it allows ease to be here.
It's okay if you're not wanting it to be here.
If it was about wanting,
We would never feel bad.
But it's here.
So saying to yourself,
It's already here,
Let me open to this softly,
Kindly,
And gently,
Taking your time and if other layers of sensations or feelings arise,
You can notice and then opening,
Softening,
Welcoming the ease that is already here.
Noticing how you are in this moment.
And when you're ready,
Just resting in this awareness for the next few breaths.
And when you're ready,
Just taking a deliberately deeper breath to release this practice and then carrying this quality with you into the rest of your day.
