Blessings!

This is Brenda Carey of Sacred Path Healing.

I'd like to share with you one of my favorite energy healing techniques that I have found to be helpful when my empathic nature starts to feel really overwhelmed and overloaded.

So this could feel like heavy emotions,

Like depression or grief.

It could also show up as compassion fatigue,

Where we spend so much time listening and comforting others that we drain our own life force energy.

And consequently,

This could show up as resentment,

Burnout,

And exhaustion.

An energy sweep is meant to simulate the energy in our physical body,

Specifically through our skin,

To give ourselves a wake-up,

Which is so important if we have been stuck in our heads.

Our skin is the most superficial layer between the energy outside of us,

Including the thoughts and emotions of others,

And our own internal energy.

Similar to a sponge,

The pores of our skin can energetically absorb the emotions and feelings around us.

And as empaths,

We can feel this very deeply.

In fact,

So much so that we might even think that these feelings and emotions are our own.

So I offer this energy sweep technique anytime you need to lighten up and raise your own vibration,

Bring in some more joy for the sensitive and compassionate being that you are.

So let's begin.

You could be either seated or standing.

Eyes could be open or softly gazing at the horizon.

Drawing in a deep inhale through the nose and an intentional exhale out of the mouth or nose.

Once again,

Inhaling through the nose and a cleansing exhale either out of the mouth or the nose.

Now as you continue these cleansing breaths to start,

I'd like for you to think of one emotion I'd like for you to think of one emotion right now that is feeling very heavy and that you would like to release.

Just choose one for the time being.

Now place one hand at your heart center.

First,

Acknowledge compassion for yourself.

And then from your hand at the heart center,

Sweep across the upper chest to the opposite shoulder and then briskly all the way down from the shoulder down to the fingertips in one fluid fluid sweeping motion with a full exhale.

And do this two to three times on that one side.

Again,

Hand to heart,

Sweep across the opposite side of the upper chest to shoulder and then all the way down the arm to the fingertips on a cleansing exhale.

And then switch hands,

Opposite hand to heart,

And same process.

Sweep down,

Cross the chest to the opposite shoulder,

All the way down to the fingertips.

You are letting this energy go with effortless ease.

You no longer need to hold on because it is safe to release it.

From here,

You could choose to continue sweeping from the heart down to the fingertips or if you'd like,

Begin sweeping down the rest of the body.

That could be the belly,

The low back,

Down the hips and legs,

All the way down to the tips of your toes.

I'll give you a moment.

Continue this energy sweep.

No need to overthink it.

Just long,

Big sweeping motions with full exhales.

If you need more time,

Feel free to pause this recording and continue your energy sweeping.

If you feel complete with this energy sweep,

Become still and notice the sensation on your body.

Notice the tingliness of your skin and how it emanates out into your energetic field,

Your aura.

Closing with these affirmations,

Feel the energy sweeping down to the fingertips,

All the way down to the fingertips,

All the way down to the fingertips,

All the way down to the fingertips.

Closing with these affirmations,

Feel free to say them to yourself or out loud.

I release this heavy emotion and I draw in compassion for myself.

I let go of feeling overloaded and I receive unconditional love.

I honor all my emotions,

My sensitive nature,

And I release what no longer serves me.

Final deep breath in,

Cleansing breath out,

And so it is.
