Mindful Creativity: Finding Calm Through Drawing

With Andrew Tyers

This five-day course invites you to slow down, reconnect with your senses, and explore drawing as a form of mindful awareness. No artistic experience is needed. You do not need to know how to draw, and there is no expectation to create something perfect. The focus is not on the finished artwork, but on the experience of being present while creating. Each lesson combines a short mindfulness teaching, a guided creative practice, and reflection. You will explore how observation, curiosity, self-compassion, and creative expression can help you develop a more mindful relationship with yourself and the world around you. Throughout the course, you will learn to: Slow down and see everyday objects with fresh attention. Create without judgment or perfectionism. Use simple drawing exercises to cultivate presence. Explore creativity as a mindful practice. Develop a personal creative ritual you can continue beyond the course. All you need is a pencil or pen, some paper or a sketchbook, and a willingness to be curious. This is not a drawing class. It is an invitation to discover creativity as a pathway to mindfulness, presence, and self-expression.
