It always takes a second to arrive,
To come fully into your body.
Feel your connection to the earth.
Feel your breath as you inhale.
Exhale.
Welcome to a hit of hope.
If I were to tell you,
Create your day,
Would you roll your eyes at me?
I probably would,
Because that seems like a lot of hooey.
Balderdash,
Claptrap,
Buncombe.
But do you ever wake up and immediately start running?
Here,
Then dashing there.
Eyes scrambling,
Forgetting,
Messing up,
Trying to catch up while life piles on and on.
Inhale.
Exhale.
So what if,
When you wake,
You take a moment and create your day?
Picture what it is you want to unfold,
How it is that you want to be.
What do you want to attract into your life?
How and where might it enter the scene?
What might be the surprising twists?
Inhale.
Again,
This might sound like a lot of malarkey.
And it could be,
But really,
This is about choice.
You can live your life at full throttle.
But a friend of mine who is currently in treatment said to me,
Everything hurts at 100 miles an hour.
More than that,
Why do we privilege the negative,
The unintentional?
Why do we play the negative loops over and over in our heads,
The ones where we have messed up or the ones where we imagine the worst?
Inhale.
Exhale.
What if you refused to watch that footage?
What if you put in a new tape?
What if you picture yourself as a hero moving through the world with ease and delight,
Intelligence and skill?
And then you might catch yourself saying,
Oh,
Here's another opportunity and another one.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Create your day.
If too many worries or memories cloud your vision,
Stop.
Breathe.
Create your day.
Inhale.
Exhale.
If you focus on what you've done wrong or what is sure to not go right,
Stop.
Interrupt that thought process.
Create your day.
If you are acting as if today were yesterday or tomorrow,
Stop.
Breathe.
Feel your body in this moment right now.
You are here.
Create your day.
What will evolve you?
What new ways of being can you try to live light and shine?
Inhale.
Exhale.
Have a great day.
