Hello again,
My friend.
Notice how good it feels to be right here,
Right now.
Settling into a safe and comfortable place and position letting everything else fall away.
The sounds.
The thoughts racing.
The list of to-do's.
Right here,
Right now.
Focus on your breath.
Just notice.
Maybe close your eyes if that helps you focus and turn inward.
You Welcome that first conscious deep breath.
Into your heart center.
Let it go.
Another full breath in.
.
.
Full breath out.
Noticing any tension.
And allowing it to release from the top of your head.
Your eyebrows,
Your cheeks,
Your cheeks,
Your cheeks,
Your cheeks,
Your cheeks.
Your jaw.
Down into your shoulders and your back.
Your arms and your hands.
Your hips.
And your legs.
All the way down to your feet.
And ground yourself with a strong breath in.
And out.
You are exactly where you are meant to be,
My friend.
I am here to remind you that your very existence is sacred.
And everything you do is spiritual.
Spirituality isn't always a grand gesture.
It lives in your breath your words.
Your heart.
Your actions.
No matter how mundane.
We love indulging in the practices because it makes us feel like we are taking action.
Makes us feel worthy of sharing our beliefs and light with others.
The action of the practice is tangible.
Physical through our senses.
Mental through focus and clarity What is also spiritual is existing.
Existing at times without the tangible action.
Existing without focus or clarity.
I know this feeling well.
The pull back and forth.
I have come to believe that when we get pulled out of our ideal spiritual routine and into the day-to-day busyness that feels like we don't have a free moment to ourselves,
It is for a reason.
Yes,
The beauty of the colorful crystals and stones that we fall in love with.
That we spend time holding or cleansing.
And help us feel grounded or connected.
But what if we were to.
.
.
Study the details of a loved one's face in the same way.
Colors of a sunrise or a sunset.
The peace and calm of meditation can help clear your mind.
Bring you that clarity and focus but when our practice cannot be consistent.
What about finding just a quiet moment listening to the birds chirping Perhaps you enjoy the ritual of lighting an incense stick,
Or Palo Santo,
Or sage,
Or The sense of smell is powerful.
You But what if you romanticized in the same way?
Something as simple as the scent of your morning coffee.
The flowers blooming in the spring We know that the power of reciting affirmations aloud,
Including chants and mantras,
Will have an effect on the brain and the body.
So can something as simple as humming or even taking time to speak your truth to have a conversation with your inner self.
Asking those difficult questions and speaking from the heart.
Of course,
The practice of yoga can feel so amazing,
Not just the movement and the connection with community,
But the challenging lessons that you might learn in your practice.
Don't forget.
The discipline of a daily walk.
Or the release that dancing or playing can bring.
Not one of these things is more important than the other.
They are all parts of living.
You are worthy of experiencing all of them.
And more.
Don't resist the rise and fall.
As always there is the ebb and the flow.
Just as your breath.
Hose in How?
Trust the tides.
You are meant to experience it all.
The physical things and the rituals will always be there waiting for you.
It is the bits and pieces of what it means to exist in the present moment that are fleeting.
We all know the phrase,
This too shall pass.
This applies to the spiritual highs of a dedicated practice with your chosen tools.
But also to those mundane lows that feel like boring repetition.
That holds a fog over the playful side of spirituality.
I have been on this roller coaster many times before.
And I can promise you that the action and clarity will return.
Just because you are in what feels like a mundane low,
Where you are grasping at any available moment to return to the ideal practice,
Doesn't mean that you are not worthy,
Doesn't mean your beliefs are not valuable or strong.
Embrace that mundane.
Because that is just as spiritual as anything else that you could do with the physical tools or the rituals that you also love.
And remind yourself to return to your breath.
To the steady flow of air moving in through your nose.
Out through your mouth.
Pulling you back into your heart center.
Bringing you back into the present moment that is now.
It is all important.
You are exactly where you need to be.
Sometimes the divergence from.
The external.
Has a purpose.
It's giving you an opportunity.
To look within.
Where are you being asked to place your attention?
Only you know.
Slowly bringing awareness back into your body.
Allowing your limbs to wake up.
Your shoulders before you open your eyes if they were closed Remind yourself how life is.
Can flow just like the tides.
And your breath.
Hen.
And out.
In.
And out.
It always returns.
Blinking your eyes open when you are ready.
Sending endless love.
And divine light.
