Reflect on your pregnancy and birthing experience while finding comfort and ease in the present moment. Allow yourself to relax as you begin the healing process. I personally was in search for a meditation in the hours after delivering my daughter but could not find one for so soon after giving birth. It was late in the evening and the adrenaline was still pumping, making it hard to relax and get some rest that night. I was inspired to create one myself, essentially writing myself a letter with the words I needed to hear in that moment and I hope it can resonate with you as well. Disclaimer: This meditation is intended for those with generally healthy pregnancies, uncomplicated/non-traumatic deliveries, and healthy babies. Please listen at your own discretion.

Hello and welcome to this postpartum meditation.

This meditation was created with the intention for you to listen to shortly after giving birth while you're still coming down from the high of the experience,

Whatever that meant for you.

As we begin,

Allow yourself to close your eyes and take a deep,

Full body breath.

Take it all in and release the tension that was.

You are safe,

You are healing and you did that.

Allow yourself to take as many deep breaths as you need to ground yourself.

You've been through so much all the way from the moment you became pregnant and maybe even well before that moment.

Now you are here,

You and your baby.

Envelop yourself and your baby in a healing white light.

Inhale the calm,

Exhale any anxiety or stress from the past.

Give yourself a few moments to reflect on your experience from start to finish.

Let go of any expectations you held but also let go of any fears or worries leading up to your baby's birth.

There is only the present.

Everything happened just as it was meant to.

No matter the events that took place,

No matter if it fit your expectations,

Be proud of yourself and be proud of your baby.

Not only was your baby birthed through a portal to come earthside and be with you,

But you were also born at that moment.

Whether you are already a mother or this was your first baby,

There is the you that was and there's the you now.

You are strong,

You are powerful,

You love your baby so much and you would do anything for them.

Now is the time for you to rest and to heal.

Take your time,

Return to your heart center as often as you need to remind yourself you are safe and supported.

Breathe and let go.

I'm sure you can sense in your physical body where you need to heal and release tension.

Be patient.

Breathe that healing white light into those spaces and soften with every exhale.

Continue to remind yourself to stay present.

The past is the past and the future has not yet made itself known.

Enjoy this little bubble of white light that you have right now with your newborn baby and your newborn self.

Even though the last few or several hours may have felt scary or chaotic,

You can now allow yourself to rest.

Take a deep breath and take as much time as you need and maybe even allow yourself to drift off to sleep even if just for a few minutes.

I hope that this meditation is just what you were looking for,

Something to help you reflect and relax on your birth and your rebirth,

Sending endless love and divine light.
