While we are sitting in meditation,
We create a space of full presence,
Only presence,
Nothing but presence,
Just the body,
Sitting in dignity,
A beating heart,
A smooth breath,
In full awareness,
Fully present.
It is this absorption in the present moment that allows for our mind to clear up,
To clear up like a bright white sky after the rain,
When we continuously bring back our attention to the sitting posture and the breath.
We automatically stop classifying,
We stop naming,
Judging.
We stop all internal dialogue and stillness installs itself.
In this stillness,
We become completely free,
Free from identification,
Free from mental categories.
In this stillness,
We reunite with the vast dimension of our existence.
We reunite with who we really are.
We reunite with the reality that we've always been,
Through our life's experiences,
Unfulfilled needs.
That vast reality was snowed under because of our fears,
Because of our anger,
Because of all kinds of mental processes that stand in the way of directly experiencing the true dimension of our existence.
However,
When we let these mental processes be just what they are,
Without getting entangled in them,
We become completely free from them.
Then we can see those thoughts and emotions coming up and passing by like clouds in the sky,
Without any substance of themselves.
We can see those mental processes for what they really are,
Just temporary phenomena that constantly change.
Becoming free from them means seeing them without being disturbed by them.
We just hold space for them.
In this open-minded container of a body,
Posture and dignity,
And a harmonious breathing rhythm,
In return,
This holding space in stillness then becomes a solid basis of support for ourselves,
A foundation we can truly rely on,
As solid as the great earth that carries us at any given moment.
When we find back this solid grounding in presence,
We reconnect with that vast dimension of our existence,
And as a consequence,
Things automatically become clear.
New possibilities open up.
The threats that risk to destabilize us dissolve by themselves,
Like clouds in the sky.
The obstacles we face simply melt away,
Like snow under a sunny sky.
It's magic.
