Perfectionism can block our access to happiness, ease, and flow, sometimes leaving us feeling stuck, anxious, or trapped in a spiral of shame or procrastination. This short practice offers a quick reset for the nervous system, inviting clarity in mind and body through a gentle repetition of lovingkindness phrases. This is a practice you can come back to at any time when you need a little extra support in breaking out of an active pattern of perfectionism, or need a little extra support in recovering from a mistake. It is a great supplement to the longer Breaking Free from Perfectionism meditation offered on my profile here on Insight Timer. This practice has no background music or sounds to provide space for a deeper reflective process.
