I want to do a short tap along to help release some of the resentment you might be carrying.
This beautiful quote from Gabor MatΓ©,
Resentment is soul suicide.
It is painful for us to hold it.
It causes issues within us and around us in what is reflected back to us.
So I hope that this tapping supports you.
Taking a minute to check in and notice,
Where are you on the resentment scale in this moment?
What are you noticing?
What number would you put on resentment right now,
Right here?
10 being the most,
0 being not at all.
Take a moment,
Write it down.
And then when you're ready,
Let's begin.
This is a call and response.
I'm going to say something and then I will be quiet and give you the opportunity to repeat after me.
Allow yourself to notice thoughts,
Ideas,
Memories that come up.
All right.
Starting on the outside of the hand,
Tapping gently.
Even though I can feel this resentment inside me.
Right here,
Right now,
I'm safe.
Even though I notice all this resentment.
Right here,
Right now,
I'm safe.
Even though I'm aware of all this resentment that I've been holding.
I'm open to looking at this today.
Take a moment,
Notice how this is feeling for you.
You might notice more activation.
You might notice things settling.
Whatever you notice is exactly right for you.
Moving to in between the eyes,
Gently tapping this resentment.
Outside of the eyes,
Resentment.
Underneath the eye,
Right on the bone,
This resentment I'm holding.
Underneath the nose,
This resentment.
On the crease of the chin,
It's eating me up.
Down to the chest,
This resentment.
Underneath the arm,
Right at sort of the nipple line on the side body,
This resentment.
Place your hands on your heart.
Take a moment to check in.
Notice how this feels.
Notice what's coming up for you.
Let's do one more round.
In between the eyes,
I wonder,
Outside of the eyes,
What it would feel like underneath the eye to release this resentment.
Underneath the nose,
I wonder,
On the crease of the chin,
If it's safe to release this resentment.
On the crease of the chin,
I'm open to the idea,
Underneath the arm,
That it's safe to let go of some of this resentment.
Shake that off,
Bring your hands back to your heart,
And notice whatever there is to notice for you.
You might have noticed a little release.
You might have had some emotions bubble up.
You might have seen a memory or connected some dots in a way that you haven't before.
Or you might have noticed that you're not quite feeling safe.
And although that might feel a bit unsettling,
It's actually powerful knowledge for you to know how you can heal and what your next steps might need to be.
