Hi there,
Today I thought I'd do a short tapping piece on shame and some of the baggage that we can be holding deep in our DNA and in ourselves.
I've been feeling called to do this work,
This deep work,
And share it with you.
I think many of us can relate to this and I believe it to be really powerful healing.
So I've opted to do this on an audio track without you being able to see me going through the motions.
As I tap using emotional freedom technique,
I will name the part that we're moving to as we move through the tapping cycle.
If you're not familiar with emotional freedom technique,
The tapping points are right beside the eye,
Right under the eye,
Under the nose,
Under the chin,
Under the arm,
On top of the head,
And then again through the cycle.
So I will be naming each one as we step in.
This work is immensely powerful and the idea is that I say it and you repeat it.
And if you're doing this and something comes up for you,
Some wording,
Some imagery,
Some sensation,
It is at its most powerful when you use your own words.
So I've been given these words to use,
I feel that they're extremely deep and can be really,
Really beneficial.
It's strong work and if you feel emotional,
Don't be surprised,
Alright?
But that's a good thing because we need to release the emotions.
So hopefully that all makes sense and we're going to get started.
So we're going to start with some setup phrasing and we're just tapping on the outside of the hand,
It doesn't matter what hand you use.
So just gently on the outside of your hand,
Even though I can feel this shame in my body,
I love and accept myself anyway.
Staying with the hand,
Even though I feel all my cells are filled with history of shame,
I love and accept myself completely.
Even though I've been holding this shame because it has felt safe all these years,
I love and accept myself completely.
Looking to the side of the head,
I release the shame that my body is holding.
Under the eye,
I release the shame and sadness stored in my DNA.
Under the nose,
I release the history of pain that I'm carrying from generations past.
Under the chin,
I release the holding back.
On the collarbone,
I let go of all the second guessing.
Under the arm,
I let go of thinking that I am not good enough.
Top of the head,
I let go of the paralyzing insecurity.
In between the eyes,
I release the side of the head,
I release.
Under the eye,
I let go of this baggage.
Under the nose,
I know I'm ready for something bigger.
Under the chin,
I know that there is work to be done.
On the collarbone,
But I'm ready to feel better.
I am ready.
Under the arm,
I'm ready to release all the baggage that no longer serves me.
Top of the head,
I'm ready to step forward into the light.
In between the eyes,
I'm ready to allow that hard protective shell to come off.
Side of the head,
Side of the eye,
It's scary.
I can feel the fear,
But I'm ready to shine.
Under the eye,
I know that this is my path.
Under the nose,
Imagine how good this is going to feel when I let go of all that old baggage.
On the chin,
Imagine this old baggage released.
Collarbone,
As I let go of the heaviness within.
Underneath the arm,
As I begin to trust.
As I begin to trust divine time.
Top of the head,
I am light.
In between the eyes,
Ready to shine.
Side of the head,
Clearing the cobwebs and remembering who I am meant to be.
Underneath the eye,
Wiping away the cobwebs.
Underneath the nose,
Stepping forward to shine.
The chin,
I can feel the release.
Collarbone melting back into the earth.
Underneath the arm,
Releasing down.
Top of the head,
Letting go of all that I've been holding onto that is no longer mine.
In between the eyes,
I'm open to feeling lighter.
Side of the head,
I'm open to spaciousness in my body.
Underneath the eye,
Fresh ideas.
Underneath the nose,
Freer flowing DNA.
The chin,
I allow all of my ancestors to be forgiven.
Collarbone,
I am ready.
Under the arm,
I can feel the lightness coming.
Top of the head,
I am love.
I am joy.
I am light.
Allow your hands to come down.
Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths.
Notice how your body and mind are feeling.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
Perhaps depending on what your experience was,
You want to take a moment and make some notes.
Perhaps you want to do the whole cycle again.
Both of these are options for you,
Whatever feels appropriate for you today.
You can come back to this again and again whenever you need.
