Hello wonderful being,
Thank you for choosing me to be your guide today.
Begin by coming into a comfortable position,
Sitting with your back straight and yet relaxed,
Keeping your head aligned with the spine,
Please know that you can anytime shift your body in any manner to make this position more comfortable for you.
So as you settle in to this posture,
Allow your eyes to either close completely or alternatively you can just lower your gaze,
Looking down at the floor in front of you.
This is to limit any visual distractions so that you can turn your attention inward.
Allow your awareness to rest on the point of contact between your body and the surface beneath you.
So noticing which parts of your body are in contact with the surface beneath you,
Feeling supported by mother earth,
Letting go of the weight and any tension in your body onto the surface,
Releasing anything that you don't need anymore and coming fully into this present moment.
Today's meditation is going to focus on the heart chakra.
The heart chakra or anahata chakra is located in the center of your chest.
At the level of the heart.
So in order to connect with this chakra,
You can either simply bring your awareness to this area or if you feel comfortable,
You can also place one or both of your hands on your heart,
Feeling the heart beating.
As you continue to notice your heart beats,
Allow yourself to form a connection with your heart chakra.
This chakra governs your ability to give and receive love,
To feel compassion,
To forgive and to connect with yourself and others with openness and trust.
When this chakra is blocked,
You may feel closed off,
Bitter or afraid of getting hurt.
Whereas when this chakra is overactive,
You may become over giving.
People pleasing or neglect your own needs.
And when this chakra is balanced,
You feel peaceful,
Emotionally open and connected.
Hence,
This meditation is designed to bring your heart chakra into balance,
Feeling the softness,
Strength and openness.
So in order to do so,
We are going to recite a chant.
We are going to chant the seed sound of the heart chakra,
Which is YAM.
Y A M YAM To do so,
First we will take a deep breath in to fill our lungs completely with air and on the exhale we are going to chant the mantra which is YAM.
With each chant,
I invite you to feel the vibrations in your chest and let these vibrations soften the armor around your heart.
So,
Let's begin,
Breathe in and with the exhale YAM.
I am going to repeat the instructions again.
We are going to breathe in in order to fill our lungs with the life-giving air and as we breathe out,
We are going to chant the mantra YAM for the whole duration of our exhale and as you do so,
Feel the vibrations in your chest region.
So,
Let's begin.
YAM YAM YAM YAM YAM YAM YAM YAM Feel the quiet strength of loving presence,
Soft but powerful.
If you feel emotional,
Allow yourself to feel that way.
YAM YAM YAM Feeling the leftover vibrations near your heart.
As you become aware of the effect of chanting the seed sound,
Allow yourself to visualize a soft emerald green light glowing in your chest.
This light is calm,
Healing and soothing.
Radiating love without effort.
With each breath,
Let this green light grow brighter and softer.
See it gently surrounding your heart.
Surrounding your lungs and spreading to your entire chest and then see it expanding outward,
Embracing your entire being.
Now,
See it spreading to even those that you love.
So,
See this green emerald light holding not only you but also your loved ones in its embrace and finally imagine it expanding outward and embracing all beings everywhere.
Imagine this light touching all living beings on this earth.
Yes,
There is space for everyone.
You are held in love.
You are loved.
As you connect with your true nature,
Let the following affirmations that I'm going to repeat sink deeper and deeper into your being.
I am worthy of love and connection.
I am open to giving and receiving love.
I forgive myself and others.
I choose compassion over judgment.
Love flows freely through me.
Allowing your heart chakra to be open so that the love can flow through you.
Now,
Bring your awareness to your body.
Feeling the effects of this meditation on you.
Noticing if your state has changed in any manner.
Maybe you're feeling more warmth around your chest.
Maybe you're feeling more light.
Losing the weight of the walls that you built around your heart.
Know that this love is always within you.
You can always get in touch with your heart.
So now,
As we reach the end of this meditation,
Allow yourself to come back by wiggling your toes and your fingers.
Noticing the physical boundary of your body.
And when you feel ready,
You can gently open your eyes.
Connecting back with the space around you.
Waking up from this meditative space with more love and openness within you.
