An introspective journey through the labyrinth of human emotion. This track explores the complexities of the inner world, acknowledging the shadows alongside the light. With a delicate touch, it invites listeners to embrace the full spectrum of their experiences, from the depths of sorrow to the heights of joy. It encourages challenging the perceptions of negativity and embracing its transformative potential. Negative emotions like fear, anger, and sadness can alert us to danger or a problem that needs to be addressed. For example, anger indicates that our boundaries have been violated & we need to stand up for ourselves. Negative emotions can also motivate us to make positive changes in our lives. For example, feeling guilty about something we did can motivate us to apologize or make amends. To summarise, negative emotions are not inherently bad, and if we befriend them they can serve us. Want to know something interesting about feeling?

So most people believe that feeling those negative emotions such as anxiety,

Sadness,

Okay,

Is bad,

Is unhealthy.

But instead,

Not feeling those emotions,

Trying to avoid those emotions is actually unhealthy.

It is very much healthy to feel,

You know,

Appropriate emotions based on whatever thought you are having,

Based on whatever circumstances you are in.

So it's very much healthy to,

You know,

Connect with them,

To find them where you are feeling in your body and then staying with them until they dissolve on its own,

Okay?

So you do not need to feel positive all the time.

In therapy also,

Most people believe that it's about feeling better,

But no,

It's about getting better,

Not just feeling better.

What I mean by getting better is that you will still feel that initial surge of negative feelings,

But now,

As you have gotten better,

So instead of reacting to it,

You will be able to befriend that emotion,

Be with that emotion,

Respond to that emotion and that situation in a logical,

Rational manner.

thank you so much, this really taught me that feeling positive ALL the time is not healthy and that it is okay to feel sad, mad, worried and other feelings🥰
