Welcome to this short power nap practice that I hope gives you a little boost.
So make sure you're lying somewhere comfortable,
Close your eyes,
Take a nice deep breath in,
Breathing out and allowing your body to sink down into the surface that you're resting on.
Softening your eyelids and your cheeks,
Softening your shoulders and your back,
Your chest and your belly,
Relaxing your legs and your feet and as you lay here giving yourself permission to be here and now,
Knowing that there's nothing you need to do right now,
There's nowhere you need to be,
This is your time to stop for a moment,
To relax and recharge as this will serve you well for the rest of the day.
So I invite you to take slightly deeper breaths than you usually would and really feeling your body rising as you breathe in and falling as you breathe out and as you breathe in,
Breathing in energy and aliveness,
Breathing in the sense of uplift and dignity and on your out breath,
Allowing your body to sink a little bit deeper and as you breathe in,
Breathing in energy,
A sense of uplift on each out breath,
Dropping deeper and deeper,
Now taking another deep breath in,
Breathing out and becoming more aware of the outside world,
The sounds around you,
The light through your eyelids and now gently opening your eyes,
Notice how you're feeling right now and acknowledging that even this short practice will have given you a little bit more energy,
Clarity and perhaps it will help you go through your day with a little bit more ease.
