Good morning.
Mornings can be a bit of a challenge,
Especially with those early starts.
So here's a little meditation to start your day and get you on your way.
So starting by getting yourself in a comfortable upright posture.
Whether sat up on your bed,
On a meditation cushion or sat on a chair.
Now gently rocking from side to side to find your centre of balance.
And now take a deep breath in.
Just noticing your emotions,
Your body sensations and any thoughts that might be troubling you.
And breathing out and just letting go.
And doing this one more time.
So taking a deep breath in.
And again noticing your emotions,
Your body sensations and any thoughts.
Breathing out and letting go.
And doing this without judging yourself,
Thinking you should feel a certain way this morning.
So bringing a sense of kindness to how you feel.
And that's just where you're starting from.
And that's okay.
And as you sit here,
Also acknowledging any thoughts about jumping up and getting going because there's a day's work ahead.
So just staying with those thoughts but also giving yourself permission to stay with this meditation.
Knowing that the calm,
Balance and insight you cultivate will go everywhere you go for the rest of the day.
And now take one more deep breath in.
Breathing in kindness towards yourself.
Breathing out and letting go a bit more.
Allowing your body to sink more into the surface that you're sitting on.
And now bringing your attention to your body rising and falling as you breathe.
Feeling uplift,
Energy and presence as you breathe in.
And feeling grounded,
Stable and strong as you breathe out.
And continuing to do this.
Breathing in,
Feeling uplift,
Energy and presence.
Breathing out,
Feeling stable,
Strong and grounded.
So just sitting with your body rising and falling as you breathe.
Breathing in,
Feeling uplift,
Energy and presence as you breathe in.
Breathing out,
Feeling uplift,
Energy and presence as you breathe out.
Breathing in,
Feeling uplift,
Energy and presence as you breathe in.
Breathing out,
Feeling uplift,
Energy and presence as you breathe out.
Breathing out,
Feeling uplift,

Now taking one more deep breath in.
Breathing out.
Now giving a little smile if you want to.
Then gently loosen your shoulders.
And then slowly opening your eyes.
Taking your senses out into the room you're in.
And now give your hands and arms a shake as we end this meditation.
And now you're ready for whatever the universe sends you today.
