Hello and welcome to this spring ritual practice.
My name is Anais and I will be guiding you through a nourishing and balancing healing meditation.
This meditation balances the wood element within us.
It nourishes the liver and gallbladder meridian and these are linked to the spring season.
But even if it's not spring where you are right now,
No worries,
If you feel drawn to this practice or you want to balance the wood element,
You are always welcome to practice.
So,
Whenever our energies of the liver and gallbladder may get stagnant or stuck,
You might notice irritation,
Frustration,
Inner pressure or a feeling of being stuck,
Indecision,
Hesitation,
Procrastination and you might notice tension in your jaw,
Your temples and the sides of your body.
And these sensations and emotions are not wrong.
There's nothing wrong with you for experiencing this.
They are signs that your body is asking for space.
Your body is asking for nourishment,
For movement and direction.
In spring we have the wood energy and wood rises upwards like a tiny sprout breaking through the soil.
Wood grows in two directions.
A tree grows its roots deep,
Deep into the earth and at the same time it reaches,
It branches upwards towards the heavens.
And I invite you to bring your awareness towards the part of you that wants to rise,
Even if it's slowly.
And feel that return of energy,
That desire to grow,
To awaken,
That expansion within you.
And let's breathe into that together.
And sigh out any stagnation,
Any stuckness,
Any indecision.
Let's breathe into that again,
Into your desire to grow.
Exhale any irritation,
Frustration.
And one last time,
Inhale into the part of you that wants to rise.
And exhale,
Releasing anything you don't need.
Now find the most comfortable position for your body if you haven't done so already.
And now bring your awareness towards the beautiful meridian lines in your body.
Now I will guide you through it.
And all you have to do is visualize the beautiful golden liquid light.
Starting from your toes,
Running through the insides of your feet,
Moving upwards from your ankles through your inner legs.
A beautiful river of healing energy going from your inner legs into your torso,
Your ribcage,
The sides of your body,
Finding its way towards your liver and gallbladder.
And from here,
Zigzagging again around that side body,
Moving upwards towards the sides of your neck,
Your jaw and your temples.
From your temples we have the gallbladder meridian which reaches even higher towards the sides of your head.
And let's just breathe into that.
And notice the places where you hold frustration or hesitation.
Or where you hold the pressure of unmade decisions.
Let's breathe into that heaviness.
Exhale,
Drop it.
And let's inhale into any pressure that you might carry with you.
Exhale,
Release it over to the earth.
Inhale.
Irritation is energy that wants to move,
That wants to do something different.
Frustration is desire for direction.
And any anger you might feel is actually a boundary.
And any anger that you might feel is actually a boundary,
A truth that wants space,
That wants to be seen.
And so,
Whatever you feel,
Know it's not too much.
We are awakening from winter to spring.
We are balancing the wood element and its energy that wants to move,
To breathe and to find its own path.
So let's breathe in here into the ribcage.
Exhale,
Soften your belly.
Exhale,
Soften your jaw.
Soften your temples.
And all the tiny muscles around your eyes.
Unclench your jaw and your temples,
So your mind can unclench and relax.
Soften your tongue,
Resting the tip of the tongue against your upper front teeth.
Relax your mouth,
Your cheeks.
And let all the tiny muscles in your face melt and soften.
Now bring into your mind's eye a beautiful visualization of spring.
Of how your most beautiful spring looks like.
Notice the beautiful blossoming trees and flowers.
How the returning of the sun feels like a breath of fresh air.
Notice your whole body become more alive,
More vibrant as spring returns.
Now visualize yourself today.
If your energy could move in one direction today,
Where would it want to go?
How would your life begin to look like today?
Now breathe in this spacious,
Nourishing feeling.
Allow your body to be overflowed with this abundant feeling.
After winter,
After stagnation comes movement,
Comes a new beginning.
Now bring a gentle smile to your face.
Take a last breath here.
As you exhale,
Allow this visualization to fade away.
May your spring be spacious.
May your choices feel soft and aligned.
May your energy rise in its own rhythm.
Begin to notice how your body feels,
How your mind feels and how your emotional world feels like.
And notice what this gentle spring ritual has brought you today.
Let's close off with one nourishing breath here together.
Gently inhale into the belly.
And fully exhale.
Just like that tiny sprout,
Begin to gently move your body,
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
And begin to bring in a little bit more movement.
Whenever you feel ready,
You can open your eyes and orient yourself back into the space that you are in now.
And from the bottom of my heart,
Thank you so much for practicing with me today.
My name is Anais and I hope to see you soon next time.
