This is a minimally guided sitting meditation.
As with the other practices,
It is a time for yourself.
Position yourself in a posture that will allow you to remain awake,
Alert and still.
Begin by attending to the breath,
The familiar expansion and contraction of the belly.
When you are anchored in the breath,
Allow your attention to rest on whatever aspect of your experience is most prominent,
Moment by moment.
When you notice your attention has wandered,
Gently,
Sweetly,
Kindly,
Return it to the breath and begin again to attend to your experience.
Also attend to the stillness and peace within your experience.
Simple instructions or the sounding of a bell will call you home to yourself.
Attend to your experience as it is.
Surrender to the present moment.
Rest in awareness.
