Welcome to day five of Embodied Presence.
Today we are going to begin a body scan meditation.
Now this is very very important for you to start receiving messages from your body.
Now the purpose of this is for you to start your own healing journey.
Some people their intuition really comes online when they start doing this body scan each day.
So my suggestion to you is to listen and feel and let go as much as you possibly can during this body scan.
So let's start with three deep relaxing breaths.
Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Again breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Making sure that you feel really really comfortable.
Get rid of any last wiggles out of the shoulders,
The back,
The hips,
The feet,
The fingertips and just let yourself really land in this moment.
I'm going to begin the body scan at the top of your head.
So I want you to begin to continue that breath going in through your nose and out through your mouth just very gently.
And then I want you to bring your lips together and your tongue to the roof of your mouth and just focus on the breath coming in and out of your nose nice and gently and slowly.
Now as you bring your awareness to the space around your head I want you to notice the feeling that you feel around your head as you breathe your breath all the way up and around your face and around your hair and around your ears.
Breathe your breath around your eyes and your eyebrows.
Gently begin to notice if there's anything at all that you would like to focus on to bring the breath to release and create more space.
Begin to bring awareness of your breath down into the jaw.
Awareness inside the mouth,
The tongue,
The teeth and the gums.
Then begin to move down the throat.
Notice the words that may wish to be spoken.
Notice the muscles either side of the neck,
The thyroid gland and going down the vertebrae of the spine at the back of the neck.
Scanning now around the throat area.
Notice if there's any areas that require more breath,
More space and more release.
Now gently bring your awareness down a little lower over the collarbones and around the tops of the shoulders.
Gently scanning and bring your awareness down the left arm.
Scanning the muscles,
The veins,
The ligaments and the blood vessels all the way in and around the elbow,
Around the forearms,
Into the wrist,
The hand and the fingertips.
Check in with the fingernails.
And now with the right arm going through the shoulder joint down the muscles.
Notice the nerves,
The ligaments,
The veins,
The blood vessels,
The elbow joint over the forearm into the wrist and into the hand through the fingers,
The fingertips and the fingernails.
Bring your awareness and your breath in the space around the torso,
Below the collarbones,
Into the rib cage.
And begin to take a deeper breath into the small and large lobes of the lungs.
Begin to scan the major organs of the body.
Begin with the lungs moving in and around the heart.
And next moving down into the belly,
The stomach,
The gallbladder,
The pancreas,
The liver and the spleen.
Check in with your major organs.
Create space.
Release.
Heal any areas and let go of any tension.
Move the breath and the energy around those major organs.
And then next moving into the intestines and checking in with the space in the valves.
Checking in with the sphincters and smooth muscle.
Become aware of the tiny microvilli within the intestines and notice what is being absorbed.
Notice if there are any extra requirements here.
Anything excessive or deficient.
Bring awareness,
Space,
Healing and release.
Next moving down into the reproductive organs.
Checking in if you're female with the ovaries,
The uterus or the space where the uterus once was.
The ligaments in the pouch that holds the organs in place and tuning into the bladder,
The kidneys,
The ureter,
The urethra and all the little sphincters in amongst these organs.
Checking in with the external genitalia.
Follow the vaginal wards down to the opening of the labia and release anything that requires releasing.
Create space,
Bring healing,
Utilize your breath to move this around and gently release.
And now if you are male tuning into the male organs of the prostate,
The testes,
Up to the kidneys,
The urethra and down into the penis.
Notice if any of these areas may require healing,
Release or attention.
Bring awareness to the sphincters that are in and amongst these organs.
Bringing space,
Release and gentle healing.
Now everybody moving towards the back of the body and focusing on the spine.
Start with the tailbone in around the sacrum and start to move up the spine in a spiral pattern.
Scan every single vertebrae moving now into the lumbar region,
Scanning,
Allowing space,
Release and alignment.
Coming into the mid-back and checking in with every single vertebrae all the way to the top of the neck and then we gently slippery dip down the spine all the way down into the pelvis.
Moving into the hips,
The hip sockets,
The hip joints,
Allow space,
Release and flexibility.
Now going into the glutes,
The buttocks,
Over the fronts of the legs,
The thighs,
The hamstrings,
All the way down to the knees.
Ensure space and alignment through the knees.
Move down now into the legs,
The calves,
The ankles,
The tops of the feet and the bases of the feet and into the toes and the toenails.
And now you've scanned the entire body,
Allow space around the organs,
The skin and the very edges of the body to begin to grow a little fuzzy as the air around you moves like a light breeze.
As the healing air moves around you,
Allow yourself now to tune into anywhere in the body within this sphere that you're in.
Anywhere at all that requires healing or attention,
Bring your awareness there now.
Take a breath in and go to any of those areas of tension and say the word clear,
Release,
Exhale.
Allow yourself now to receive any messages from the body.
Gently starting to bring your awareness back into your body by wriggling your toes,
Moving through the fingertips,
Taking a big stretch out the arms and legs,
Taking a deep breath in through the nose and gently releasing with a sigh out of your mouth.
And again taking a big stretch and breathing in through the nose and a sigh breath as you exhale.
Deep breath in through the nose,
Sigh breath as you exhale.
Start to flutter your eyelids and allow yourself to come back into the room fully,
Connecting with your healthy happy body.
It's suggested to complete this body scan every single day and start to listen to the subtle language that your body gives you.
This has the ability to clear things before they even reach the physical body.
It gives your energetic body a refresh,
It resets your etheric body and it helps you connect more to your spiritual self and your intuition.
