Welcome to 10 minutes of meditation.
Get ready on your back in a comfortable position,
Possibly with your legs raised with a pillow.
And really melt yourself into the mat or even into bed if that's where you are.
We're going on a journey today.
But first of all,
We need to really tune into our breath.
So notice how your breath is feeling at the moment.
Notice if you're breathing through your mouth or through your nose.
Close your lips and just breathe in through your nose.
Bringing this breath awareness is the first step to taking you closer to your true self.
When you breathe in,
Let the breath come in a little bit deeper this time.
So we're breathing deep into our belly,
Letting the diaphragm open up,
Letting every single rib open up,
And letting the breath come all the way to the top of the shoulders.
And when you're ready to breathe out,
Let that breath come out from the shoulders,
From the ribs,
And then out of the belly last.
Keep breathing this way for the entire meditation.
And you will come out feeling renewed,
Rejuvenated,
And completely at ease.
So focusing on your breath,
We're going to go on a nice little visualization.
Picture yourself floating up on a beautiful lavender cloud.
This lavender cloud smells beautiful and fresh.
And it makes you feel completely comfortable just as you float up safely into the sky.
It's like you're just watching your body just floating gently up higher and higher until the earth looks like this tiny little speck.
It's not to be concerned about though because you're going to a really safe place.
In this place,
You feel happy.
You feel relaxed.
And in this place,
You decide that you'd like to hop up and have a look around.
So using your own visualization here,
You notice a little bunch of pebbles.
And as you go to put your feet on the pebbles,
They light up.
It's like they're little miniature full moons.
So step onto the pebbles.
You notice that they feel beautiful and cool underneath your warm feet.
And as you walk across the pebbles,
You notice that there's a gate.
Open up the gate.
As you walk through,
You're greeted by someone.
And that someone is you in five years' time.
She's so excited to see you.
So go ahead.
She's asking you in for tea.
Go in and have a cup of tea with her.
She's got so many wonderful things to share with you about how far you've come with your health,
About how amazing you look,
About all the different things that you've been doing in order to get your life together and to feel amazing.
Everyone in your life seems to be there supporting you,
Cheering you on.
It makes you feel so happy.
It's really important that you notice how things look here.
Take a good look around and notice your true self in five years' time.
Notice the way she playfully gazes towards different areas of the house.
Well,
She tells you about all her exciting events that she goes to and all the wonderful people who she's met in the past five years since she really got her health back on track.
Notice how the house is so in order,
Exactly the way you like it.
There's none of the things laying around that bother you anymore.
Every single thing that you look at brings you joy.
The more you walk through with your future self,
The more you realize that this is exactly where you want to be.
She wants to take you out to a nice little rug out in the backyard.
As you sit there and have your cup of tea with her,
You wonder how on earth you could ever get to this place.
It seems so far away,
So out of reach,
And you feel this feeling of hopelessness come back.
And you think,
How is this ever,
Ever going to happen to me?
Then she leans in really close to you and she grabs you by the shoulders and holds you tight.
And she whispers something in your ear.
This is something that's so important to where you are now to get where you want to be.
So try and remember exactly what she says to you.
You notice you've got a notebook right next to you,
So write it down.
Keep that piece of paper in your pocket.
And then you realize that it's time for you to go,
So you'll feed yourself as much as she'd love to have you around.
She's coming to walk you back to your pebble path.
She gives you the biggest hug,
And you feel so warm and supported.
Say bye to her,
Knowing full well you'll see her soon.
And walk on back to your lavender cloud.
It's just as safe and fluffy and amazingly comfortable as when you first laid down on it.
So lay down on your lavender cloud and bring your awareness back to your breath.
Breathing into your belly,
All the way up into your chest,
And letting the air come out of your chest and out of your belly.
Focusing just on the very tip of your nose,
You're floating down,
Back down to earth on your lavender cloud.
You can see the earth becoming bigger and bigger,
And you feel completely relaxed.
You feel completely at ease knowing where you're heading is exactly right.
Where you are right now is exactly where you need to be.
And that the future that is coming towards you is ever so bright.
Remember you can step into this feeling at any time.
You can feel happy,
You can feel at ease,
And you can feel in control.
So just step into the lavender cloud whenever you feel the need to.
Whenever you feel the need to relax,
Whenever you feel the need to connect to your future self.
