We may find ourselves seeking to be more present but the fact is that being present is the unavoidable, inescapable fact of every moment. This meditation reminds us of that.

Teachings frequently talk about doing various practices to enter the now,

To be more present with what's here.

But if we actually just stop and look,

What becomes apparent is that now,

This instant,

Is actually inescapable.

There is no exiting now to enter some other time,

For even if we travel off into the so-called past or future,

That only ever occurs now,

In this flash instant.

Here in this immediacy,

This presence,

We can never be apart from.

This now,

This immediacy,

Is always changing,

Always different.

The now shows up with the most mind-boggling diversity.

And yet no matter how now may be appearing,

How now may be felt or described,

It always remains now.

Always changing,

Yet always remaining,

Just now.

WOW! The truest thing and time is totally the now, what we actually have, and as you say it is always evolving, there is always a new now, a new was and a new will: and that will always remain constant. Thank you

This entire series is terrific. Theyโ€™re all variations in a theme, and that theme is brilliant in and for its utter simplicity.
