In this brief track, John's philosophical thought process takes us into exploration of the idea that, when practicing meditation, we often percieve that we have to take action and become permanently, mindfully aware of what may have appeared or been experienced, during our meditation. Instead, this short meditation invites the listener to let go of any effort to do something about what is arising experientially and instead, simply let it's very presence be enough.

When practicing meditation,

We often imagine that something has to be done about whatever is being experienced.

We might believe that we have to notice it,

Or witness it,

Or be mindfully aware of it.

Or maybe we imagine that we have to keep track of our experience,

Or accept it,

Or allow it.

But for now,

Instead of imagining that something has to be done about whatever is appearing in experience,

Just let the fact of its appearance be enough.

That's all.

For now,

There's no need to keep track of what's happening experientially.

You don't have to do anything about it.

Simply let the reality of its very arising be enough.

The fact that this experience is even here at all,

Let that be enough.

Thank you.

So true. For me there is too much "trying" associated with meditation/mindfulness practice. It can be so simple so why do I struggle? To get better at it. No need. Sometimes simplicity is enough. Enough is enough.

This was very reassuring! I often feel like I need to journal and analyze my experiences for some message, otherwise I will forget and "waste" the experience. Thank you for the reminder to just be!

I appreciate the simplicity of this. Yet, somehow, it's still very reflective. Lastly, I am a huge fan that the audio is clear.

Our lives have conditioned us to understand that before this can happen that must take place or a comes before b. This simple offering says just be, but in a different way So refreshing Thank you 🙏 💜
