Hello and welcome to our community meditation space.
My name is Vivian Girard and it is my delight to be guiding us in a meditation for the full moon in Capricorn.
As we arrive in this time together,
I invite you to picture yourself walking into our virtual living room,
Finding your seat in circle,
And turning to astrology as a lens through which to better understand our human journey.
Let us close our eyes and start to call all of our attention,
Our awareness into this moment.
You have chosen to pause the activity of your life and to be still.
To encourage or invite your mind,
Your body,
Your soul,
And your heart to harmonize in this process that we call meditation.
So using your breath,
Slow down the pace of your thinking.
And invite your breath to go deeper into your body simply by bringing your awareness to it.
We often breathe shallowly when we are busy or life is intense.
And this month has been a busy one.
When you slow down your breathing,
You are cuing your body to safety.
You are inviting your mind to bring its focus to your breath.
And then we can invite our mind to relax the muscles.
When the mind is given multiple tasks.
It starts to focus.
And so I invite your mind to focus on your body and your breath.
As you slow down your breathing,
You can deepen it into your body,
All the way down through to your feet.
Relaxing your muscles again.
And then calling all of your attention here to this moment.
To this body.
To your choice to be still.
Notice if the thoughts are coming in and going out.
It's okay.
And bring your focus down through your body to your feet.
Breathing all the way down through your body to your feet.
And then choosing from your feet to release anything that is ready to go in this moment.
There may be emotions that you have been blocking or holding or carrying around,
And as you slow down to meditate,
The emotions start to be felt.
In this moment,
Release whatever is ready to go,
Down through your feet and into the earth.
We often pick up emotions or energies from other people or from the collective experience that we don't even realize we are holding inside of ourselves until we pause like this.
And so any emotions that you may not even have realized you picked up that are not yours,
That you are tapping into because the collective is moving through them.
Can choose to release from your feet.
Down through roots that you visualize deep into the earth.
To be recycled,
Purified by the planet.
Relax your muscles again.
And then straighten your spine and allow your shoulders to open.
Which creates more space in your heart,
Your heart chakra.
Feel the support of the cushion,
The chair,
The couch,
The bed behind your back.
And notice what happens in your heart space when you have it more open and you have this connection at your feet that is running whatever is ready to be released out your feet and into the earth.
Notice what is happening without judging,
Just being curious.
How is your heart space in this moment?
Breathe into your heart.
You may feel some pressure in your head as you allow your heart space to feel,
To move the energy,
The emotions.
When we do that,
Our mind sometimes is unraveling the power it has been holding up in our head as we bring our focus down to our heart.
So use your breath to relax the muscles.
And to bring your focus down through your head,
Your throat,
Into your heart space.
We have a big shift that is happening astrologically as Chiron moves from Aries into Taurus.
Chiron is the wound that we work through in our life.
And it has been focusing on Aries.
Who are we?
How do we identify ourselves?
What is our purpose,
Our reason for being here?
On this planet.
And now Chiron is moving into Taurus.
It can feel more intense to be in the body because the focus is on the body.
We take what we have been working through about our identity.
And how we feel it.
More powerfully in the body.
Notice what happens in your heart space as I say all of that.
It might feel a little tighter.
A little more pressure.
Chiron is going to emphasize our resources,
Our feeling of safety in our body.
So in this moment,
Relax the muscles.
And allow yourself to soothe your heart space.
When we move through a transition like this astrologically.
Especially with Chiron,
We feel it.
Your mind may be trying to understand why things have felt more emotional,
More intense.
This is information for your mind to help understand the energy.
The son also moved into cancer,
Which is about our home,
Our family,
Our security.
And the day after the full moon in Capricorn,
Jupiter moves into Leo.
Amplifying.
The feelings that we have in our heart space,
Our desire to be safe.
Be sovereign.
To be held,
All of it mixing together.
So we smile at the mind.
Invite it to relax.
Take the information that feels necessary to noodle over.
And then we relax the muscles again.
Feel your feet firmly planted.
You are here,
The infinite soul,
Choosing to have the human experience.
And the astrology activates.
Different resources,
Different messages.
Different portals within our mind-body-soul.
To support this human journey we are having.
As you breathe.
You feel your feet.
Here you are.
Imagine you can grow roots deep and wide from your feet that anchor you more firmly.
Into your connection to the planet.
Chiron in Taurus is going to have us remember more and more of the beauty,
The richness,
The abundance of Gaia Earth.
And our role as humans.
In this partnership with Earth.
So at this full moon in Capricorn,
We feel the connection from our feet.
Running deep down into the earth.
Intimately partnering us with Gaia.
Sometimes we forget,
Because we are up in our heads.
And so this process of bringing our focus from our heads to our hearts and slowly down through our body to our root and then to our feet.
Grounds us with the earth,
Connects us intimately with the earth.
Relax your muscles.
As your roots wind and move.
And overlap with other roots of the trees,
Of the plants,
Underneath where you are sitting today.
Allow your roots to start to feel.
The energy that is present,
Deep under the surface of the earth.
We don't often spend a lot of time in this space connecting feelings.
What is happening underneath us.
We are too busy in our heads,
And so in this moment,
Allow your roots to wind and deepen.
And feel through your roots.
What is true.
What is happening in the consciousness,
The ground underneath us of Earth.
You may notice that your shoulders started hunching over a little bit as the energy pulls you,
Connects you deeper at the bottom of your body through your feet.
You can relax your muscles and straighten your spine.
And still have your roots go deeper and wider underneath you.
Imagine these roots that are connected to your feet and to your body energetically.
Imagine these roots can start to transmit messages to you from the earth.
You may see colors.
You may feel emotions.
You may hear words or see pictures,
Movies playing in your mind.
As your roots gather information.
What does the earth want you to know?
In this moment.
And then invite your roots to go deeper and wider.
Overlapping with the trees.
In the area around you.
Even if you have to go miles out to find the trees,
Imagine your roots start to seek the roots of the trees.
What do the trees want you to know?
You specifically.
What message would they have for you?
Allow your roots to be antenna.
That are picking up telepathically messages from earth,
From the trees,
The plants.
The soil itself.
And then relaxing your body,
Allow yourself to rest.
To be held and nourished by all of the roots underneath.
We are often so busy above the surface of the earth that we forget this is always available for us.
That we can connect in,
In any moment.
You may feel a buzz in your feet as the energy grid is strengthening underneath you.
You may feel energy running up your legs.
As you allow the earth to nourish and support your human body.
You may feel emotions in your heart space as that energy from the earth is coming all the way up through your body and soothing your heart.
Nourishing your heart.
And you may feel tickles,
Bubbles of energy moving up through your throat.
Into your ears,
Your nose,
Up through your eyes,
Up the top of your crown.
Relax your muscles.
The full moon in Capricorn offers us illumination.
A completion if we are ready for it.
In the sign of Capricorn,
Which is about structures,
Systems.
The routines and habits.
We are in a moment where the old beliefs can dissolve,
Deconstruct.
And new ones be created,
Opened.
Where you may have believed.
That we need to do it ourselves.
We as a humanity are separate from the earth.
And this meditation is showing us another way.
Reminding us of a very grounded way to connect in.
With the life force that keeps our planet here.
Moving,
Evolving.
You tap into that through your roots.
So nourish yourself.
Take the pause,
The time to receive fully from the Earth.
At the same time,
If there is a detoxification that needs to happen,
Heavy old energy that no longer serves you to be released at your feet.
It can happen at the same time that you are receiving from the earth.
Allow your feet to be the portal,
The space through which the energy is released and received in the correct measure,
In the most perfect way for you.
Relaxing your muscles as the energy runs.
And then bring your focus again to your heart space.
Is there anything that your heart needs in this moment from you,
From the earth?
As we release and complete old ways,
Old beliefs,
Old systems,
There sometimes is grief.
We may have been attached or enjoyed the system that we were part of.
And when we unravel from it.
There may be grief that goes with that shift in energy.
Allow yourself to feel it and to run it,
To move it down through your feet and into the earth.
You may need to receive in equal parts love and support and encouragement from the earth.
In direct proportion to the amount of grief that just moved.
So receive whatever your system needs in this moment,
Your body,
Your mind,
Your heart,
Your soul.
And when that feels complete,
You can bring your attention,
Pull your attention up from the roots to your feet.
You can allow the roots to continue just on autopilot to stay connected.
Bring your awareness to your feet and then slowly bring your awareness all the way up through your body.
To your heart and to your throat.
Relaxing your shoulders and straightening your spine.
And notice if there is anything in your throat chakra that needs to clear,
Or if it feels complete,
Easy flow of energy moving through your throat,
Your ears,
Your nose,
Your mouth.
Your jawbone,
Your neck.
And from this space,
Allow yourself to set the intention,
Even though it is a full moon.
We can set the intention just like we do with the new moon.
That the words we speak come from this grounded place inside of our body.
That they flow through the heart space.
And so,
As we move during this time where there is a lot of energy shifting,
A lot of emotions bubbling.
A lot of discovery or releasing around the idea of security,
Safety,
Home.
It may be a tender time.
And so allow the words that you speak to come from this grounded heart space inside of you.
If you feel the intensity and the desire to react.
Pause.
Come back to this moment.
Feel the connection underneath your feet,
Always connecting you to the earth.
And speak from a place of compassion.
Of care for yourself and for those around you,
For the planet and for humanity.
Beautiful.
With your feet firmly planted and your heart and your throat in such sweet alignment,
Go ahead and slowly open your eyes,
Just looking at one thing in front of you.
So I'm holding a crystal in my hand and I'm wiggling my fingers around the crystal and starting to wiggle my toes.
So do the same,
Wiggle your feet.
Maybe move your shoulders and shake anything off that is ready to go.
And as you take in more of the room around you,
Allow yourself to blend what you see inside and what you see externally.
Both are true and real.
And as we make our way through the astrology over the next 10,
20 years with Pluto and Aquarius,
We are going to see the merging more and more of the internal and the external.
So allow meditation to be the bridge.
And then I encourage you to drink a big glass of water,
To journal what you have seen,
