Place one hand on your heart and the other on your belly.
Let yourself feel the warmth of your own presence.
You are here now,

Take a deep breath in,
Hold it gently,
And exhale,
Slow and steady.
Again,
Inhale deeply,
Feel the breath move into the spaces that feel tight,
And exhale softly,
Slowly.
One more time,
Inhale calm,
And exhale the charge.
Let your body know it is safe to release.
Right now,
You may feel like you're spiraling,
Your heart racing,
Your body bracing,
Old fears knocking on your door,
But pause and remember,
Not everything that rises needs to be believed.
Not every sensation is a sign of danger.
You are not back there.
You are not under threat.
You are safe now.
Let those words move in like a tide,

Let them settle into the places that feel startled,
The places holding breath and bracing for pain.
This moment is asking you to come back,
