Food-for-thought from Timber Hawkeye, bestselling author of Buddhist Boot Camp, Faithfully Religionless, and The Opposite of Namaste. His books offer a secular mindfulness practice to be at peace with the world (both within and around us), with the intention to awaken, enlighten, enrich, and inspire a simple and uncomplicated life. The first principle of Buddhist Boot Camp is that the opposite of what you know is also true for somebody else because of their time, place, or circumstance. If you can make peace with that, everything else in life becomes much easier. Non-Judgment-Day is near, your participation is the only thing that can make it possible. Proceeds support the Prison Library Project, the Mental Health Association, and the Veteran Health Administration. Thank you for being a Soldier of Peace in the Army of Love.

I would have preferred if the teacher had spoken just a little bit slower. There was a lot of wisdom being shared. But because it is short I can comfortably revisit. I appreciated the images of the bottle of sparkling water and triangle. Thank you for offering this.

My takeaway: The "who am I " meditation perplexes me but this flip to "who do I want to be?" Is driven home by comparing with all the inadequate descriptors 🦜 Thanks [KEY: 5=Insightful, 4=Interesting, 3=Okay, 2=Not For Me, 1=Irritating]

Excellent talk! Such a shift in perspective. How much easier it would be to change myself rather than hoping the world will change to please my mind.
