Writing Your Own Story – Empowerment Through Your Pen

With Stephanie Poppins - The Female Stoic

This course is designed as an introductory guide to the creation of your own short story – one in which your voice will be seen and heard. I have written this course as an empowering tool to use when collating your memories and experiences. This course may be used over and over again as you revisit each separate experience to further understand and make peace with it. In this course, you will use one significant moment from your past as a starting point to revisit and create the outcome you want. This course is written by an author and qualified teacher of English Literature. It draws upon her experience of writing which spans 25 years plus. Please note: LIVE session every Friday take place to compliment this course. They are also available as free tracks if you cannot attend at the time.

Stephanie has been a teacher of English Literature for over twenty years, and an author for ten. She writes radio dramas, screen plays, fantasy short stories and longer novels. Writing this course has been a cathartic experience in itself, as it has enabled her to translate and so share, the many benefits of documenting those words and thoughts which come to us when we are our most authentic selves.

Because of where I am in my life at 73, this has been the most profound writing experience of my life. Giving myself as protagonist a different name allowed me to have the distance I needed, while also being able to bring up the long buried feelings that I need to deal with. Thank you.

This is a wonderful & inspiring course, I can't recommend it heartily enough & I am so grateful that it is on Insight Timer. I've always wondered if I could write a story but never known quite where to start & always doubted my ability, but this course gave me confidence & empowered me to give it a try. The different stages of writing a story were clearly explained and extremely interesting, the tips and examples were very useful, & the encouragement & comfort were really valuable too. Thank you!
