Welcome dear one to the meditation,
Coming home to yourself when the world feels heavy.
There are moments when life can feel heavy,
When what is happening in the world,
The noise,
The intensity begins to settle into the body.
And if you are a sensitive soul,
You may find yourself carrying more than you'll share,
Feeling deeply,
Holding deeply,
Sometimes without even realizing.
And so this is a space to gently put some of that down,
To return to yourself,
To the earth,
To what is steady beneath it all.
Find a place where you can be supported,
Where your body can soften,
Where for a few minutes you don't need to hold anything for anyone else.
Gently close your eyes,
Or lower your gaze.
There is nothing you need to do here.
Nowhere you need to go.
Just arrive.
Begin by simply noticing your body,
Just as it is today.
Notice where you are,
The feeling of the ground beneath you,
The quiet support holding you up.
And gently,
Without trying to change anything,
Bring your awareness to your breath.
Not controlling it,
Not deepening it,
Just noticing.
The natural rise and fall.
Notice how the body responds when it is seen.
Now begin to notice where you might be holding the world.
Your shoulders,
Your chest,
Your belly,
Your jaw.
Just noticing.
No judgement,
No need to fix.
And in this awareness,
See if anything begins to soften,
Even slightly.
Not because you are making it,
But because you are allowing it.
You are not meant to carry everything you feel,
Everything you see,
Everything you know.
You don't need to carry the whole world to care about it.
And for this moment,
You can set it down.
Gently,
In your own way,
Place the weight beside you.
The noise,
The heaviness,
The collective pull.
You can come back to it later.
But right now,
You are allowed to rest.
Bring your awareness now to where your body meets the earth.
Your feet.
Feel that contact.
Feel the steadiness beneath you.
Imagine or simply sense that the earth is holding you.
Not just as ground,
But as something ancient.
Something steady.
Something that knows how to hold weight.
Let yourself lean into that.
Even just a little more.
The earth does not rush.
Does not hold urgency.
She receives.
She transforms.
She holds.
You don't have to do that alone.
And as you rest here,
Bring your awareness gently back to your heart.
Your own rhythm.
Your own quiet presence beneath it all.
You are still here.
Peace.
Not the overwhelm.
Not the weight.
You.
Steady.
Breathing.
Present.
Stay here for a few breaths.
Letting yourself be held.
Letting yourself simply be.
And when you are ready,
Begin to gently return.
A small movement in your fingers.
Your toes.
A soft awareness of the space around you.
And slowly,
In your own time,
Open your eyes.
Carrying only what is yours to carry.
