Welcome,
Dear one,
To this guided meditation intended to help you connect with the sacred and quiet space of your heart.
If you haven't already,
Now is the perfect time to close your eyes and gently drift your awareness inside,
Bringing your attention to your inner world,
Your inner sanctuary.
And for a moment,
Simply observe and check in with how you feel.
Notice whatever sensations are moving through your body,
Feel whatever emotions are present for you at this time.
Without judgment,
Simply become aware of where you are right now,
Knowing that whatever you are feeling is perfectly okay,
Whatever you are experiencing is safe to be felt.
And then gently begin deepening your breath,
Inviting your inhale and exhale to be a little softer and slower than the way you normally breathe.
And as you slow your breath down,
Allow yourself to begin to relax.
Let this deep breath soften you.
Let it soothe you and notice how as you deepen your breath,
Your experiences begin to soften as well,
Simply by breathing a little deeper,
Breathing a little slower,
And allowing yourself to be present with this breath.
And if your mind comes in,
Bringing in comments or distractions,
Just simply notice whatever is there and then gently call your focus of attention back to your breath.
If it's helpful,
You can even count your breath,
Allowing each inhale to be as long as the exhale.
Or you may choose to simply focus on the natural flow of breath,
In and out of your lungs.
And feel as your body continues to slow down,
And with this breath,
Feel your mind begin to relax.
Trusting that you are exactly where you need to be.
And with the next deep breath,
Gently shift your awareness to the center of your chest,
Where your heart space resides.
You can place one or both hands on top of your heart to create a physical connection between you and this space.
Or you may choose to simply continue to observe the flow of breath through this sacred place.
Maybe you can even deepen your breath just a little more,
Feeling the precious beating of your heart as you breathe.
Feeling the gift of life that you are as you breathe.
And simply allowing yourself to be present with your breath,
With your heart.
Maybe even noticing how your body continues to relax.
Maybe even feeling a sense of calm and peace wash through your being.
Now with your awareness in your heart,
And with your focus turned inward,
Take a moment to ask your heart,
What is it that I need most in my life in order to truly be happy?
What parts of me,
Pieces of me,
Do I need to accept and embrace for me to be more at ease?
And as you continue to breathe,
Softly and slowly,
Be open to receive the messages of your heart,
Without judgment or the need for your knowing to be any different than it is.
And trust that whatever arises from within is what you need to hear most at this time.
Breathing a little deeper and slower still,
Allowing yourself to be present here with your heart and the messages from within.
Now,
Take a moment to breathe back into your heart and embrace whatever inner guidance has arrived.
And then,
Take a moment to simply allow yourself to feel what it would feel like to truly be happy.
Maybe you can even bring into your heart a moment in your life where you felt this happiness before.
Or maybe you can even picture yourself in this place that your heart is guiding you to.
And feel how it will feel when you've truly accepted the wisdom of your heart.
With each breath in,
Breathing this emotion into your body.
And as you breathe out,
Radiating this feeling into all the particles and cells of your being.
Happiness arises when we get out of our own way.
When we release the resistance to life.
When we allow ourselves to open to the magnificent experiences that our soul is guiding us toward.
Allow yourself to fully embrace this now.
And with the next deep breath in,
Take a moment to thank your precious heart for the guidance it has shared with you today.
And for the ways in which it gives you life each and every day.
And then gently begin bringing your awareness back into the physical space that holds you.
Carrying with you this new knowing from the messages of your heart.
Bringing with you this new vibration for your life.
You can bring gentle movements to the fingers and toes,
Or allow your body to move in whatever way it feels called to move.
And when you're ready,
Gently blinking your eyes open.
Returning to the space around you in this precious new moment of present time.
