Let us begin the practice by finding a comfortable position to sit in.
Perhaps you would like to invite a loved one to join you in your practice today and if that's true,
Please invite them into your space.
And once you've found the place of your choice,
Allow yourself to sit comfortably in a cross-legged posture or on your chair,
Supporting your lower back with cushions and allow your hands to rest gently on your thighs or in your lap,
Cupping.
Your shoulders are relaxed,
Elbows are close to the body and whenever you feel ready,
Allow your eyes to close gently.
There's nowhere else that you need to be,
Nothing else that you need to do right now.
Give yourself permission to take the next 10 minutes for self-care.
Allow your awareness to come to your breathing without trying to change the way that you're breathing.
Just becoming aware of your breath going in and out.
There is so much going on in the world right now,
You may be experiencing a wide range of emotions.
So I invite you to shift your awareness inwards,
The center of your heart and notice which emotion or mix of emotions are you feeling today.
Whatever came up for you,
Acknowledge that,
Accept it without trying to change it and just know that it's okay to feel whatever it is that you're feeling.
We're all in this together.
I invite you to take a long deep breath in through your nose,
Open your mouth,
Sigh it out.
Take another breath in through your nose,
Open your mouth,
Sigh it out.
One more time at your own pace.
And now allow your breath to come back to normal.
Inhaling peace.
And as you exhale,
Release and relax all your weight onto the surface beneath you.
Breathing with every outgoing breath.
In your mind's eye,
I want you to imagine a beautiful white sphere of energy in front of you.
This big ball of energy grows bigger and bigger as you take your attention towards it.
Now I invite you to step inside this ball of energy.
This white soothing light surrounds your entire being,
Cooling your mind and your body.
As you step inside this sphere of energy,
You feel a calm and cool sensation spread throughout your body,
All the way from the head to the tips of your toes.
You feel at ease and very peaceful inside this energy ball.
As you stay in and breathe,
This ball of energy gets bigger and brighter,
Spreading and surrounding everything that's around you.
You feel calm and restful.
All the tension,
All your worries begin to melt away in this soothing light.
You are safe.
You are protected.
You are at ease.
Continue breathing in and out.
Breathe in most of your mind.
You And slowly,
Give yourself permission to move out of this state of trance.
This circle of light was created by you and you can come back to it anytime that you wish to.
As I count from five to one you will begin to wake up gently without any rush.
