Enchanted Forest: A Guided Journey For Calm And Tranquility

If you've been feeling stressed or anxious, take a moment to walk through this enchanted forest with me where the magic between the trees will help you feel calmer, more centered, and completely relaxed.

Settle in for this meditation.

Make sure you're in a space that is free from distractions and you're able to fully dedicate this time to yourself and your practice.

The point of this meditation isn't to be free from any thoughts,

Rather it's to free our minds to activate our imagination and find a space of calm and tranquility.

So when this meditation of thought comes up,

Simply acknowledge it and return your focus to my voice and to your breath.

To start,

Make sure you're in a comfortable position,

Either sitting down or laying on a bed or a couch.

Just begin to relax your body,

Checking in with yourself,

Relaxing your face and your jaw,

Releasing any tension,

Moving to your neck and your shoulders,

Shifting away from your ears,

Moving the arms into a resting position,

Wiggling the fingers,

Maybe shaking out the hands to relax,

Breathing deeply to relax your chest,

Extend that release into the stomach.

Make sure your hips are in a comfortable position,

These are often pretty tight from how much we sit,

So that comfort is key here.

And just loosening up your seat and grounding into the chair or the bed that you're on.

Shaking out the legs,

Releasing any tension in the ankles or the feet.

Just relaxing into this meditation.

With the body feeling a little more free,

We're going to begin to tune into our breath.

Taking a moment now to notice how you're breathing.

Is your breath fast or slow?

Is it expanding all the way into the belly and contracting on your exhale?

Our breath is such a powerful tool for calm and relaxation,

And by focusing on it for just a few moments,

We can deepen our feelings of calm right now and begin to reset our nervous system.

Inhaling deeply through the nose,

Allowing that belly to expand,

And exhaling through the mouth,

Allowing the belly to contract.

Inhale through the nose,

Belly filling with nourishing energy,

And exhaling through the mouth,

The breath releasing any stagnant energy you feel in your body.

Continue on your own now for a few moments.

Now,

Keeping with that same breath,

I want you to picture a warm light at the crown of your head.

On the inhale,

Allow that warm light to grow,

Warming your face with this golden healing energy.

On the exhale,

This light begins to sparkle.

Inhale the light shining on your face,

Calming you with its brilliant shine.

And exhale,

The light beginning to dance all around you in a beautiful rhythm.

On the next inhale,

This warm ball of light begins to open a portal before you that is welcoming and safe.

As you exhale,

You recognize that this portal will help you to find calm and relaxation.

When you're comfortable,

I want you to step through this portal,

Knowing the power of taking this step forward and allowing the portal to close behind you.

And when you emerge from the portal,

You find yourself in a beautiful forest.

All around you are lush green trees,

Beautifully colored flowers,

And that brilliant sunlight you built from your breath.

You can hear birds singing,

A soothing song,

A waterfall that cascades down mossy rocks,

And the ruffling of leaves as a gentle breeze moves through.

This is your place,

Your space to find calm,

Tranquility,

And serenity.

You walk through this magical forest and come to a space of densely packed trees that is cooler and darker than where you started.

However,

Above your head is completely lit up by glowing lights.

As you look above you,

You realize these are fireflies that have created a light show just for you.

You smile as you delight in this stunning display.

Between these trees is the most luxurious hammock you've ever seen.

It has intricate netting,

Beautiful pillows,

And a cozy blanket for the cool breeze coming through the trees.

You climb into the hammock and allow that breeze to gently rock you,

Watching the fireflies put on a brilliant light show right above your head.

They dance in sync to the birdsong in the distance and glow with that light that you find immediately relaxing.

You breathe into this incredible moment as the hammock rocks gently,

And you feel completely safe and at ease.

This is relaxation.

Spend a few moments here,

Feeling your body and mind completely relax in this space.

When feeling more relaxed and you're ready,

You get up from the hammock and continue to explore this magical forest.

As you continue to move through the forest,

The trees become less dense and you hear the sound of water getting closer.

You move past bushes and sunflowers that dot your path and emerge in a clearing to find a waterfall and hot spring that is clear and looks completely refreshing.

You jump into the hot spring and the water feels perfect.

The temperature is just right and the water is soft and welcoming.

You swim to the base of the waterfall,

Allowing the pure water to wash over you,

Cleansing you of any negative energy,

Anything you don't wish to hold on to.

And as the water washes over you,

You feel more and more amazing.

As you splash in this hot spring,

You see a turtle sunning itself on a rock,

Hear the faint sound of the birds chirping,

And feel the complete stillness of this moment.

This is tranquility.

Spend a few moments here,

Feeling your body and mind completely tranquil in this space.

Come out of the hot spring and continue to discover all that this forest has in store for you.

In front of the hot spring,

A carpet of leaves begins to form and float.

In this enchanted space,

These leaves have built you a flying carpet to take you to your next stop.

You climb on and feel supported,

Light,

And free.

As the carpet begins to soar,

You see the forest from a new point of view.

Flying through the trees,

You notice monkeys napping on branches.

You see the puffy clouds in the sky,

Feeling like you can almost touch them.

You smell the fragrant plants,

The bit of dew on their leaves.

The more you fly,

The lighter you feel,

The more free you feel.

Continue to fly through these trees for a moment.

The carpet of leaves finally comes to a rest at a bridge of wood and rope that brings you to a treehouse far above the forest floor.

You walk across the bridge,

Which is sturdy and strong,

As the treehouse invites you in.

This treehouse is built of light wood and is completely open air,

Almost blending into the tree as it sits within.

You enter the treehouse and are greeted with a palatial space with everything you could ever want right there for you.

You begin to explore this treehouse and all that it has to offer you.

Everything here is made of nature's elements.

The sinks of cool stone,

The outdoor shower with wood paneling,

The kitchen that looks like it serves the freshest foods made from the forest around you.

There's a soaking tub to your right filled with flower petals,

A library with a view of the mountains beyond the trees,

And couches to relax and unwind.

As you explore this space,

Eventually you walk into a spot where there's a circular bed with netting all around it that looks out onto the forest,

Allowing you to touch the treetops and feel like you're one with nature around you.

You climb onto this bed,

Which has the softest sheets you've ever felt,

And look out onto the trees,

Counting how many different kinds you can see.

As you breathe into this moment,

You can't remember the last time you felt like this.

Above the trees,

You have few cares.

This is complete calm.

Breathe into this feeling and allow that calm to reach its full potential.

When you're ready,

A carpet of leaves turns.

As you climb on,

It begins to fly back through the trees.

You fly past the treehouse and the dozing monkeys,

Past the waterfall and the birds settling in their nests for the night,

Past the fireflies who light up the night as stars begin to dot the sky,

And as a gentle rain begins to drum a rhythm on the trees.

This carpet of leaves drops you off at that space where the portal originally opened.

As you inhale deeply,

That warm light begins to glow in front of you again.

Exhaling begins to glow more strongly.

Inhaling,

The sparkling warm orb begins to take shape as the portal opens for you to return to your world.

Know that with your breath,

This space is always here for you to return to and find calm and relaxation.

Now please step through the portal and on your next exhale,

Allow it to be sealed behind you.

Still keeping your eyes closed,

Begin to return yourself to the space you're in.

Feel where your body is within that space,

Wiggling fingers and toes,

Bringing yourself back into the room.

Take a moment and feel the change in your body.

Feel that relaxation,

That tranquility,

That calm.

Feel the power of what a dedicated time with your imagination can do to reset your nervous system and find calm in your day.

On your next breath,

Gently open your eyes,

Taking a moment to stretch and to thank yourself for taking this time today.

Putting your hands together at heart center now,
