Morning is such an important time for setting our intentions for the day. Kick off your day on the right note with this short meditation that will allow you to set yourself up for a day filled with positivity and calm.

Transcript

Good morning.

Let's greet this morning by starting with a deep breath together.

Welcoming in the day.

Closing your eyes gently,

Settling in.

I want you to take a seated position.

Aligning your head and shoulders directly above your hips.

Feeling the supportive foundation of your seat and stretching up to greet the morning.

Taking just a moment now,

I want you to check in with yourself this morning.

How are you feeling right now?

What thoughts are coming up?

What emotions are bubbling to the surface?

Just taking a moment to acknowledge without judgment or analyzation these first morning thoughts.

I'm turning now your attention towards your body.

How does it feel this morning?

Do you feel connected or disconnected?

Let's just go ahead and notice without judgment how we're feeling.

Do whatever you need to in this moment to get more comfortable.

Whether that's shifting positions,

Relaxing your jaw,

Wiggling your toes or your fingers.

Stay in that seated position.

Get into a space that feels comfortable for you.

Once you're comfortable,

Begin to tune in and focus on the breath.

Breathing in through your nose,

Allowing your belly to fill up,

And exhaling through our mouth,

Allowing your belly to contract.

Again,

Inhaling through the nose,

Belly fills up,

And exhaling through the mouth,

Letting that breath release.

Continue on your own now for a few moments,

Allowing that breath to go in a natural rhythm.

Now as we continue to breathe,

I want you to envision a warm,

Bright light on your inhale.

That's purpose is to awaken and nourish every cell in your body.

Inhale,

Allowing that light,

That healing energy to move through every single part of your body.

And on the exhale,

All of that breath takes any negativity,

Fear,

Or stress and releases it through that exhalation.

Inhale,

That warm light sending positive energy into your head,

Your shoulders,

Your belly,

Your knees,

Your toes.

And exhale,

Maybe picturing black smoke as all of that negative energy,

The fear,

The sadness,

The anger leaves your body as it no longer is serving you.

Just release it through that exhale.

Inhale again,

Allowing that bright light to nourish you,

To make your body feel so light and bright,

It's just glowing with good energy.

And exhale,

Allowing that breath to sweep up any anxieties,

Any anger,

Anything that is no longer serving you.

Release it now through that exhalation.

And continue with this breath for a few moments now.

Now,

Feeling cleansed and refreshed,

Still keeping your eyes closed,

I want you to tune in again with how you feel.

Morning is such a powerful time to set our day outright.

Set an intention now for what you want this day to be for you.

What do you need to bring in to make this day feel great?

What do you need to embody today?

Set this intention now and breathe into it.

And with our intention set,

We're going to bring ourselves back into the room that we're in,

Tuning back into the sounds,

The feeling of your body,

Wiggling those fingers and your toes,

And thanking yourself for taking this time today to reset the nervous system and find calm first thing in the morning.

Slowly opening your eyes.

Thank you for taking this time with me today.

Have a great day.
