Beginning this practice by taking a little bit of time to arrive in the body,
In the position.
Perhaps moving,
Adjusting,
Settling into a more comfortable yet wakeful position.
Taking note of what you might be seeing,
What you might be hearing,
What you might be feeling in relationship to the space around you.
In the midst of that,
Beginning to bring more of your attention,
A soft and gentle attention to the breath,
To the body,
To the body breathing.
Breathing with the expanding,
Breathing with the contracting,
Practicing,
Being aware of this body,
This breath,
This space.
Every time a thought arises,
Just acknowledging it.
Okay,
That thought's here.
And then kindly and gently including it with the breath,
With the body,
With this space you're in.
And the invitation now is to focus on an intention,
In a quality or attitude you'd like to infuse into,
Into this awareness and perhaps into the next moment of the day.
Allowing yourself some time to shift with more awareness of the breath,
Of the body,
And of the space into the next moment of your day.
