This is all my haiku.
I remember.
And I'm here with you,
My dear friend,
Across time and space.
Have you been stressed,
Overwhelmed,
Anxious,
Tired,
Lonely?
Perhaps even joyous.
Know that you're not alone.
We're going to take some deep breaths and see if we can come back home to our awareness.
To our center.
That being said,
Getting comfortable,
Becoming aware of how you're sat,
You can lie down or sit up,
Whatever feels most natural to you.
Getting in that position.
Dropping the shoulders away from the ears.
Relaxing the face,
The jaw,
The lips,
The forehead,
The eyes.
You're safe to close the eyes if you like.
Bringing the attention inwards.
Witnessing and welcoming your inner world.
Taking a deep breath in.
And a deep breath out.
Breathing in new life,
New energy.
And exhale all the life,
All the energy.
Breathing into the whole body.
Exhale,
Relaxing the whole body.
Letting go of tension in the hands,
The feet.
Relaxing the belly.
So breathe in.
And breathe out.
Good,
Good,
My friend,
Stay with me.
Aware of your posture as you breathe in.
And breathe out.
Breathing in trust.
Exhale,
Expanding trust,
Deepening trust inside.
Feeling the energy of trust spread through the body and mind,
Melting away fears,
Worries,
Anxiety.
Breathing in love for yourself.
And exhale love for others.
Love for life.
Breathing in compassion.
Exhale,
Understanding patience.
Having patience with the unfolding of life as you breathe in.
Breathe out.
Breathing into the belly.
Exhale,
Relaxing the belly,
Relaxing the shoulders.
Breathing up the spine.
All the way to the top of the head.
And exhaling down.
Feeling your lower body rooted.
Like a tree.
Feeling more grounded.
So you take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
Deep breath in.
And a deep breath out,
Lengthening that exhale.
Deep breath in.
And holding that breath at the top,
Becoming aware as you hold the breath.
And exhale letting go.
If your mind has been wanting to think,
Now is the time to allow the mind to think.
Letting go of thoughts.
Back into the body as you take a deep breath in Take a deep breath out.
Taking a deep breath in.
And a deep breath out.
Softening the face,
Relaxing the jaw,
The lips,
The forehead,
The eyes,
Relaxing your whole face.
As if your whole face is just letting go of tension.
Belly relax,
Chest relax.
Relaxing the back,
Relaxing the neck.
Feeling the stillness of the ground beneath you with your feet.
So take one last deep breath for now.
And exhale.
The color for today is orange.
The number is 501 in the animal.
As a sea lion.
I thank you for joining me across time and space.
Sending you a big hug,
My dear friend.
Wishing you an abundance of love,
Resourcefulness,
Creativity,
Consciousness,
Strength,
As you navigate overwhelming environments.
Speaking from my own experience,
Just meditating each day,
It's beautiful how we cultivate more sensitivity,
More aliveness,
More presence,
And at the same time,
That same sensitivity can become overwhelming in chaotic environments where there's a lot of stimuli,
A lot of noise,
A lot of things going on that we can lose our meditative quality that we experience while in nature or in the safety of our home.
But this isn't something to try to avoid or neglect just ignore.
It's something to embrace and to practice,
To learn how to,
On one hand,
Cultivate more sensitivity,
More aliveness,
More openness,
While also being able to stay grounded,
Centered,
And calm,
Even in chaotic environments,
Especially in chaotic environments.
It's not easy thing to do,
So have compassion with yourself as we practice with that.
And with that,
I will see you back here tomorrow with love.
